FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS – The attention of FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has been drawn to online publications in the Thisday live and other online newsfeeds of 3rd April, 2018, titled: “FCT-IRS BOARD ENMESHED IN EMPLOYMENT SCAM”. The articles contain allegation that some top members of FCTIRS Management are involved in a job scam by collecting N200,000.00 from 150 job seekers with a promise to provide them with job slots in the Service.
In January this year, FCT-IRS received information that some unscrupulous individuals are using its name to conduct, “a preliminary assessment for recruitment into FCT-IRS”. The Service promptly wrote to one of the National Security agencies, requesting for investigation into the matter. Within days into their investigation, some arrests were made and the investigation is still ongoing.
The general public should note that neither the Service, nor its Board authorized the alleged recruitment process and are not involved in the jobscam.
