Our company is in the process of rolling out its water and concrete block factories for the production of bottled, and sachet water as well as blocks and interlocks, at industrial scale. Job Title: Head, Quality Assurance – Frefa Block Factory

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of this position is to look after the Quality Management System (QMS) of the water production and packaging sections to achieve targeted productivity with all quality and legal compliances within budget.
- Also, ensure plant operations proceed in accordance with the systems and procedure set and adhere to the production plans for the respective areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement systems and procedures to ensure manufacturing operations of the factory meets production plans, product quality and cost standards.
- Ensure quality orientation and identify quality improvement programs to improve the cost effectiveness of the manufacturing process for the factory.
- Ensure that appropriate Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) are developed and maintained for all aspects of the business.
Education and Experience
- Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Bio-Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering from a reputable institution. Possession of MBA will be an advantage.
- Have minimum of 8 years’ experience in production and manufacturing operations in a water factory.
- Must have strategic thinking acumen and be excellent team player.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft suites, AutoCAD etc.

Job Description
- The Manager will have responsibility to initiate and drive standards, sustainable and continuous improvement and optimization of all processes in the plant.
Key job responsibilities includes:
- Plan, organize, direct, lead and run optimum day-to-day operations that would significantly and consistently exceed expectation of customers, and achieve company goals and objectives.
- Increase production, asset capacity and maintain flexibility while reducing controllable costs and maintaining high quality standards.
- Develop systems, policies, and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, define metrics and set performance targets to ensure effective returns on assets.
- Total maintenance of all installed and planned block, interlock or water production lines, injection plant, cap injection plant, bottle blowing machines and related equipment.
- Ability to work competently under pressure and without supervision.
Education and Experience
- Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering from a reputable institution. Possession of MBA will be an advantage.
- Have minimum of 10 years’ experience in production and manufacturing operations in a concrete block or water factory as Plant Manager (Technical Services).
Required Skills:
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles and practice such as budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resource management.
- Must be familiar with latest block, interlock or water treatment and bottling equipment, including Pet and Cap injection plant.
- Must be a strategic thinker and team leader
- Must have ability to manage multi-racial teams in a diverse and dynamic work environment.

- A dynamic and self-directed Marketing and Sales Manager within retail product knowledge, with focus on the south-south geo-political zone as the immediate catchment area.
- Must demonstrate ability to turn around the market share of the company.

- Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans for the company thereby attracting potential customers and retaining existing ones.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating marketing and staff, leading market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products and services and liaising with relevant media organizations and advertising agencies.
- Responsibility for brand management and corporate identity. Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing and sales campaigns.
- Appropriately engage consumers on social media.
- Maintain comprehensive database and take calculated risks based on data-driven analytics.

- Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree/HND in Marketing, Social Sciences or Liberal Arts from a reputable institution. Possession of MBA will be an advantage.
- Have minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Manager or Senior Supervisor, in the marketing and sales function in a manufacturing company.

- To manufacture, inspect and deliver concrete blocks, interlocks, kerbs, etc. and related products in a manner that optimizes the Company’s market share
- To direct, promote, and coordinate the plant operations employees, facilities and equipment in conjunction with Department Manager or Supervisor.

- Operate all concrete block, interlocks etc. manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Assurance program regarding ingredient receiving, mixing and load –out.
- Perform necessary sequencing, recording and documenting of all products manufactured during shift.
Education and Experience
- Must possess minimum of a National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Possess minimum 6 years’ experience in concrete block, interlocks, kerbs production machine repairs and maintenance.
- Must be a good team player.
