About the Role

  • The People Intern will directly assist the People team in a wide range of tasks and responsibilities related to Scheduling, Project Managing People Initiatives, HR Ops, Employee Engagement, Performance Management.
  • This internship is designed to be both learning-oriented and practical.
  • In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills learnt in his/her tertiary institution and apply them in a professional environment.
  • The intern will gain a better understanding of the role of HR and how it can be applied in a technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the administrative tasks of the People team.
  • Manage the People team extremely busy and active calendar and appointments.
  • Support in composing and preparing confidential correspondence for the People team.
  • Support in arranging and managing travel itinerary, agenda and logistics for the People team.
  • Support the People team on Performance and Disciplinary Matters.
  • Take ownership of documenting and filing incident reports, performance notifications in employee’s files on BambooHR.

Job Title: Global Travel Director

Location: Lagos

About the Role

  • Andela is hiring a Global Travel Director, who will build a world class travel agency within Andela.
  • We are looking for a  seasoned professional who cares deeply about both traveler experience and process improvement.
  • Your customers are Andela’s employees, currently ~1000 and growing each month. As part of our business model, Andela’s software developers travel for at least two weeks a year to our partners’ offices, predominately based in the United States. With five offices on two continents, we also have other Andela employees traveling between offices every week.
  • Your team’s primary responsibility is to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency at every step of your customer’s journey, from visa assistance and document preparation to flight selection to their experience at their destination.
  • This position requires a motivated self-starter who is able to wear multiple hats, carry initiatives from start to finish, and can work effectively at all levels of the organization across the uniquely cross-cultural Andela environment.
  • You’re an expert in building and managing complex operations and developing the processes necessary for scale.
  • You also have high emotional intelligence, and are able to craft programs that place an extremely high priority on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor and manage a distributed travel operations and guest relations team; design career paths for team members.
  • Scope, plan and roll-out systems and tools that will help scale our travel program as Andela grows.
  • Manage travel costs while improving travel quality.
  • Develop strong partnerships with your primary stakeholders, including Country Directors and other key department heads across Andela’s offices.

Requirements

  • Experience scaling a program or team.

  • Andela Senior Consultants (SC) are Senior Developers and Technical Team Leads, who work with Andela Partners on engagements and support Andela Developers at various levels in leveling up their skills and experience through mentorship. They are technology leaders hired from across the continent who provide the necessary leadership required to build teams of Andela Fellows around them. Currently we have SC’s based in Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, USA and Cameroon. In addition, Senior Consultants also serve as role models and mentors to Fellows on the next steps in their careers.
  • As a Consultant Coordinator, you will provide support for Senior Consultant initiatives. You will ensure that the Andela Success team balances the needs of SC’s and provide support to the Consultant Manager with the day to day operations of the department. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that Andela Consultants have a rewarding experience.
  • This position is full-time based at Andela’s office in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to Senior Consultants to help them meet their KPI’s and promote their growth.
  • Support in the development, implementation, and improvement of SC workshops, mentorship and internal programs.
  • Work with the Success team to ensure day-to-day operations of SC-related functions are addressed in a timely, efficient, and proactive manner.

  • As the Curriculum Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing our Partnerships with other organizations that improve Andela’s curriculum.   • Your role is to discover and gather the best resources, tools, products, and opportunities for Andelans while considering how those resources will support Andela as it scales to 1,000s of developers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle Project Management of any recommendations for pilots of new resources, partnerships, and features with non-Andela Learning Platforms including:
  • Identification of opportunity
  • Communication with stakeholders
  • Managing relationships and collaborators (internal and external)
