Job Title: Offshore Construction Superintendent

Location: Nigeria

Job Responsibilities

  • The offshore Construction Superintendent is re4xnsible for the oversight of the activities of the Construction Inspectors and field engineers assigned to him/her.
  • This position must ensure that the Constriction within his/her control is safe, cost-effective, stnictib1e and timely.
  • Must have the ability to immediately recognize typical oilfield material types and differences and develop a working knowledge of the project specifications, as well as the referenced industry standards, and must be able to read and thoroughly understand piping drawings, isometrics and shop drawings.
  • This position shall investigate any outstanding or punch list items or concerns and provide timely responses to project team members.
  • This position must be Knowledgeable in oil and gas production. He must communicate regularly and constructively with the Company Site Representative, Project Engineer, Operations Representatives, Scheduler, project safety representatives, project logistics coordinator and production and maintenance personnel
  • The Construction Superintendent shall ensure proper installation and handling of Company assets at the various project sites as well as review, advise and monitor anchor handling operations, lift plans and other marine activities
  • Maintain DPRs
  • Review all MTOs to verify acceptability
  • Provide supporting documents for MCC approval
  • Collect completed drawings and submit to QA/QC within 24 hours of fabrication completion. Drawings to include the following fitter information
  • Heat Numbers for materials utilized
  • Pre-weldout dimensional confirmation
  • Obtain Fab drawings from QA/QC Department (Project Manager or Company Rep) and Assign /Issue and communicate any specific fabrication requirements and needs.

Job Requirements

  • A good Engineering or related disciplines degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in offshore construction arid fabrication
  • Minimum 5 years of offshore or onshore construction supervision experience dealing directly with welders, fitters, riggers, and other construction personnel
  • Full understanding of construction codes in line with the subject discpline is required.
  • Experience working on Offshore/Onshore existing facilities (Brownfield) is high desirable a Must be able to read and interpret Blueprints
  • Must be able to pull measurements and be familiar with all drawings per job scope


Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate & develop solutions for civil/piping/ structural problems and inquiries that arise in the course of company operations.
  • Conducting structural modification feasibility studies and structural integrity assessment
  • Preparation of civil/structural calculations, drawings & statements.
  • Developing and managing project works to improve reliability and safety
  • Supervision of project works and managing of a multi-disciplinary workforce.

Job Requirements

  • A good first degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of en meeting experience preferably in an oil and gas environment
  • Current COREN registration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cost control & scheduling.
  • Wide knowledge of international construction standards
  • Demonstrated experience in using structural analysis computer programs.
  • Proven ability in steel design, concrete design, pile and soil supported foundation design, seismic design, and structural analysis.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to express ideas to a wide range of groups.
  • Possesses and maintains knowledge of codes for building materials and design
  • Proficient in producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD
  • Ability to collaboratively work on a team and with colleagues to solve challenging problems.
  • Proven well-rounded perspective and ability to prioritize work gamed from experience in such positions as a supervisor or project Engineer

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Role Summary

  • Ensures successful definition, execution arid management of Greenfield and Brownfield projects
  • Ensures that activities related to the project are carried out in a timely fashion consistent with the projects objectives and strategies, and senior management guidance
  • Responsible for all aspects of project performance including safety quality, cost, schedule, and operability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safety leader for the project; sets project safety culture and drives performance
  • Defines key deliverables for project and timing needed to achieve project objectives Responsible for development of requisite quality Project Management System deliverables for project asset in accordance with agreed milestones
  • Leads Project Management Team (PMT) with senior management arid prioritizes overall project goals
  • Owns Clients relationship and works with climes senior management to ensure contract scope is delivered per contract terms
  • Works with project team members to ensure project expectations are understood and necessary plans are in place

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor in Science in engineering from recognized university
  • 10 – 15+ years of experience in oil and gas industry
  • 5 – 10+ years of experience in a variety of project management and execution positions (construction, offshore installation, quality execution, contracting, project controls, business services)
  • Prior experience includes all phases of project execution
  • Ability to lead a team of other professionals; prior experience in leadership roles within a project
  • Able to articulate technical issues to a nontechnical audience
  • Good command of English both written and spoken
  • Able to work well with others in a fast-changing environment

Job Title: Offshore Construction Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Responsibilities

  • Study and assess the relevant drawings, specifications and instructions for your specific or functional area of responsibility
  • Verify that the drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and advise the Project Manager of any deficiencies or clarifications needed.
  • Review, in co-operation with the Project Manager, and agree the overall site progmamme for your area of responsibility including Sub-contractors programmes.
  • Identify any problem areas in the programmes, discuss with the Project Manager and agree a solution.
  • Ensure, before any work commences, that all items of material, equipment, scaffolding etc required are available to avoid abortive and unproductive use of labour.
  • Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with sub-contractors site representatives.
  • Be fully familiar with the sub-contractors methods of construction, programming and procedures and resolve any apparent conflicts
  • Be familiar with and ensure that Company and Site Procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that all work is executed to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to.
  • Co-ordinate and report on a daily basis on all progress matters and problem areas.
  • Managing, guiding, co-ordination and supporting the construction and commissioning personnel and teams at onshore and offshore sites.
  • Setting out and ensuring compliance of the health & safety standards as per company procedures within the onshore and offshore team.
  • Setting workscope priorities and assign scopes in line with the project plan.
  • Ensuring quality of the deliverables is maintained in line with corporate standards and procedures,
  • Participates in weekly clients progress meetings and provide input to weekly and monthly project reports and plan
  • Responsibility for successful planning and delivery onshore and offshore.
  • Ensure safe and environmentally successful completion of scopes.
  • Management of construction budgets
  • Liaise with Client both Onshore and Offshore

Job Requirements

  • A good degree in an engineering discipline
  • 7-10 experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Demonstrable experience in managing Brownfield and/or Greenfield projects and leading and supervising labour
  • Previous experience of managing construction of a Major Project within major organisation in the oil and gas sector
  • Previous experience of contributing towards Construction and Company Strategy
  • Demonstrable experience in a functional leadership position.
