We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: OSP Project Manager

Responsibilities
  • The OSP Project Manager, Fiber will assist with the completion of assigned complex and/or long term Outside Plant Fiber engineering and construction projects including budgetary, resourcing and scheduling requirements.
  • He or she will be responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure of projects within MainOne. The position is accountable for service delivery on-time and on-budget.
Other responsibilities include to:
  • Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project
  • Define clearly the project
  • Create and defend project
  • Prepare and manage project plans and implementation schedules using MS Project and other suitable software.
  • Provide the executives with ad hoc and periodic Project environmental reports specifically to do with project costs, lessons learnt and risks
  • Responsible for the implementation of current product portfolio and new products.
  • Manage planning and implementation teams and external contractors during project execution.
  • Co-ordinate the production of all reports and produce project summary reports.
  • Hold regular meetings with all stakeholders on project
  • Produces Project reports for customer and internal
  • Control the project implementation process
  • Develop and support effective communication mechanisms between the project teams and the rest of the
  • Develop and maintain the project library, filing, recording and reporting systems.
  • Assist with equipment & material ordering and payment of vendor/ contractor
  • Create and distribute weekly reports communicating project status, successes, challenges and risks.
  • Hold monthly site meetings with the Contractors.
  • Sign off on milestones to allow invoice processing and payments.
  • Distribute notification letters to residents of project location/streets at least a week before project civil works commences.
  • Effectively monitor projects to ensure contractor compliance with design scope (approved quantity), program of work (agreed resource/time) and work method (approved quality).
  • Proper studies of project award documents (Design Plan, BOM, Splice Plan, Link Budget Calculator, and HLDesc) immediately after you receive project assignment order.
  • Facilitate meeting with Estate Manager & Contractor to agree on work method before Estate civil works commences. Also ensure Estate Manager notifies residents about the project before civil works starts.
  • Variations to design and scope plans MUST be escalated back to the office and approved before they are implemented on site.
  • Actively participate in the audit exercise of completed projects and ensure project snags are cleared within agreed timeframe.
  • Provide support to the engineering team where necessary and as defined by the Head of Projects or your Team Lead
  • Ensure project kick off meeting happens no more than 48hrs after project is assigned to you and that contractor submits program of work immediately after.
  • Escalate unavailable materials to your Team Lead for immediate procurement action.
  • Accurate & Timely red-line drawing submission
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
Qualifications & Skills:
  • A first degree- B.Eng./B.Sc/HND/B.Tech Electrical Engineering required.
  • At least 10 years post National Service work experience (NYSC is mandatory)
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in Optical Fiber Cable project management
  • PMP or Prince2 project management methodology
  • Knowledge of major fiber routes across Nigeria will be added advantage.
  • Certifications in Fiber Optic Cabling, CCNA and A+ will be an added advantage.
  • Certifications in HSE Grade III will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Managed Service Engineer

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
  • Minimum B.Sc in Electrical Electronics Engineering or Degree in a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years’ experience
  • Routing Protocol troubleshooting experience (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Good knowledge of networking technologies- TCP/IP, BGP, DNS will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant Professional/Technical certifications preferably CCNA & CCNP
  • Good knowledge of Microwave network. Working knowledge of Ubiquiti radios will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Fibre network and its related carrier technologies e.g. GPON, Media Converter and DWDM.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Able to use initiative to tackle a broad range of problems, while still following procedures and processes.

Responsibilities
  • The Managed Service Engineer will be responsible for end to end communication monitoring and fault management of all circuits of Managed Services origin in MainOne using various TX, IP and trouble ticketing systems to support the delivery of his job functions.
Specifically, the Managed Services Engineer responsibility includes:
  • Monitor all MainOne Managed Services customer circuits providing specific update, status and performance to customer and MainOne internal stakeholders etc.
  • Identify faults or performance issues within the customer network from MainOne’s monitoring tools in accordance with the Company’s standard operating procedure for fault escalation and management.
  • Work with service desk team to ensure trouble tickets (TT) are opened and updated for every network event within the customer’s managed services network and ensure they are tracked with customer, MainOne internal teams and MainOne partners till they are closed.
  • Ensure proper technical documentation of the customer managed services circuits and network information to aid effective operation of the managed service.
  • Maintain constant communication through phone calls and emails with the customer taking his complaints and ensuring they are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer using Main One’s standard operating procedures.
  • Run daily, weekly and monthly reports on customer’s network performance and share with customer and MainOne internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all signed Managed Services SLAs with customer are met.
  • You will be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments internally and other MainOne partners not limited to her vendors and 3rd Party service providers who are involved in the deployment of the “Managed Service” solutions.
