Job Title: Estate Manage

Location: Masaka, Nasarawa

Job Type: Contract (Renewable)

No. of Direct Reports: 4 – 6

Reports to: Executive Director (Projects)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ensure that MFF estates are maintained and operated efficiently and effectively

Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintenance of grounds, buildings, roads, drains and engineering installations
  • Management and disposal of solid & other waste
  • Manage electric power and water usage by residents
  • Organize and check repairs and maintenance of boreholes, pumps and other estate equipment
  • Manage reports of nuisance, anti-social behavior and process formal and informal complaints in order to ensure excellent customer service
  • Work with the security department to ensure adequate security is maintained in the estate
  • Undertake regular estate tours and act on the items identified in order to ensure that areas are kept clean and tidy and that landscaped areas and gardens are properly maintained including identifying the need for improvements
  • Work in partnership with a range of agencies to ensure effective and joined up tenancy and estate management services are provided to customers
  • Ensure new home owners receive appropriate advice in relation to the property and the estate, payment information and any housing benefit entitlement in order to minimize loss/delays and provide excellent customer service
  • Liaise with local authorities and other agencies in order to ensure effective communication
  • Work with residents’ associations, attending meetings as necessary in order to consult with local communities
  • Liaise closely with caretaking, housing-care & other employees based on the estate to ensure excellent service to house owners
  • Ensure properties are being used for their intended purpose
  • Attend meetings and work with other departments and “organizations”
  • Analyze financial and other data, and write and present reports
  • Keep up-to-date with land management, building control and environmental issues
  • Record and notify all risks, deviations from Estate safety standards and any untoward incidents
  • Fire prevention, health, safety and security
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the ED

Educational/Professional Qualification

  • BSc or HND in facilities/estate management, construction or other relevant field
  • Membership of NIESV or of any Facility/estate management is an added advantage

Knowledge

  • Minimum of 15 years experience in facilities management
  • Maintaining water reticulation & electric power systems
  • Knowledge and experience in hospitality management
  • Landscape management & maintenance
  • Basic Health, Safety & Environment management
  • Inventory control & management
  • Equipment maintenance

Job Title: Chief Security Officer

Location: Masaka, Nasarawa State

Job Type: Contract (Renewable)

Job Field: Building and Construction

Reports to: Construction Manger (CM)

Job Description

  • Coordinate security of materials and personnel movements on and off site
  • Be the staff and customer’s focal point for day-to-day project security activities
  • Be the internal focal point for all project security matters
  • Coordinate the development of the project security plan
  • Motivate self and others in the project security team
  • Liaise with security service providers and others in the project logistics team to ensure that secure personnel and material movements are effectively coordinated to minimize potential exposure to loss
  • Strive to add value through innovation, effective team working and efficient use of resources
  • Report project security progress and performance in accordance with predefined requirements
  • Aim to exceed specified project delivery targets and stretched targets
  • Contribute to project security personnel development improvement process
  • Support project information technology enhancement process
  • Contribute to the preparation and control of the project logistics and warehouse budget
  • Contribute to project security risk management plan
  • Perform every other duty assigned by the CM

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 15 years relevant experience
  • Proven leadership experience in corporate security management and investigations and/or leadership experience in law enforcement management and investigations
  • International corporate security leadership and/or international law enforcement leadership experience

Knowledge

  • Must be a decision-maker, meet targets and work under
  • Must be confident with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Contribute to project security risk management plan

Skills:

  • Ability to design and implement an emergency response plan
  • Demonstrates good coaching, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to motivate others to deliver results
  • Analytical, critical reasoning and problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Physical security strategies, policies, principles, procedures, and standards.
