Abia State Agency for Community and Social Development Project (ABIACSDP) – Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) for implementing the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) in Nigeria. Part of this credit is to be applied where eligible to the payment for the services of various staff of the implementing agencies.

In the pursuance therewith the Abia State Agency for Community and Social Development Project (ABIACSDP) is now inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for recruitment into the position listed hereunder:

 

Job Title: Accounts Clerk

Location: Abia

Responsibilities
He/she shall be responsibleof the downstreamfinancial functions in theAgency including as under listed:

  • Handling petty cash payments
  • Preparing cash position reports
  • Posting ledgerentries
  • Banking transactions
  • Preparation and maintenance of monthly and quantity cash reports dtthe organization Handling books of primary entry
  • All other duties assigned by the General Manager

Qualification and Experience

  • At least WASC/NECO (or its equivalent) qualification with 5 or more credit passes including English language and Mathematics.
  • Candidate must be computer literate with good writing and numerical skills.
  • Experience in similar function in development projector any other private sector establishment will be an added advantage.

 

Job Title: Project Officer (MIS)

Location: Abia

Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare CSDP Management Information System operational manual,
  • Assess the information needs for the various components of the SA
  • Review alongside other project staff the data collection forms at the different stages of the micro-projects cycle;
  • Prepare technical specification for the procurement of necessary MIS hardware and software applications;
  • Monitor the operation of the MIS;
  • Upgrade hardware and software;
  • Ensure MIS hard and software maintenance;
  • Establish the working schedule and the MIS design;
  • Develop reports or formats using existing MIS data;
  • Develop and prepare the required documents using a friendly report generator;
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the M&E Manager.

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering and related fields in the Statistical and Mathematical Sciences.
  • Five years post qualification experience, two of which must have been in the design, development and implementation of Databases and client Server Software applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with development tools client side rapid applications development and experience using friendly report generator would be an advantage.

Job Title: Project Officer (Procurement)

Location: Abia

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for procurement at the SA including procurement planning, design, implementation, management and training;
  • Be responsible for the preparation of bid documents (inclusive technical specifications) for the acquisition of goods/services;
  • Serve as Secretary of all evaluation and selection of consultants and suppliers within agreed processes;
  • Effectively manage all contracts and ensure that deliveries (quality/quantity/time) are in line with contract provisions;
  • Ensure appropriate sanctions are applied on defaulting contractors;
  • Provide training on procurement and community contracting to Operations Officers,
  • Provide assistance to financial officers on contractual disbursement;
  • Ensure that CPMCs adhere to procurement procedures and guidelines;
  • Prepare and submit procurement status reports on a quarterly basis as part of financial monitoring report;
  • Prepare evaluation reports for all evaluation of goods and services;
  • Maintain comprehensive procurement unit cost database to be used in preparing a Project Cost Document and provide up to date information on all procurement at the SA;
  • Ensure that procurement plans are implemented as scheduled;
  • Provide training to the communities on community contracting.
  • Any other duties as maybe assigned by the General Manager.

Qualification and Experience

  • At least a first degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Architecture, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply or related fields with at least 5 years post qualification experience part of which must relate to procurement in a foreign funded agency or state government due process office.
  • Computer literacy compulsory and experience in community contracting is an added advantage.

 

Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Abia

Responsibilities
He/she shall be responsible for the cleanliness of the office and its premises. including other official functions as under listed:

  • Providing the function of ensuring tidiness of the office round-the-clock through sweeping, scrubbing and mopping as and where necessary
  • Ensuring excellent sanitation situation in the conveniences
  • Gardening which pertains to pruning of plant elements and minor weeding to ensure that the immediate environ is clean
  • Operating or providing assistance during fumigation against vectors
  • Submitting reports to forestall sanitation and cleanliness lapses
  • All other duties assigned by the General Manager

Qualification and Experience

  • At least a First School Leaving, City and Guilds (or its equivalent) certificate.
  • Experience in similar function in development project or any other private sector establishment will be an added advantage.

 

Job Title: Driver

Location: Abia

Responsibilities
He shall be responsible in driving Agency Motor vehicles as may be assigned, including other official functions is underlisted:

  • Driving of Agency vehicles to move men and materials to designated points safely
  • Reporting due times for vehicle maintenance and lubrication
  • Pursuing good working conditions of Agency vehicles as assigned
  • Handling of official items retained in Agency vehicles All other duties assigned by the General Manager

Qualification and Experience

  • At least a First School Leaving, City and Guilds (or its equivalent) certificate.
  • Experience in similar function in development project or any other private sector establishment will be an added advantage.

 

Job Title: Security Man

Location: Abia

Responsibilities
He/she shall be responsible for security of men and materials in the office premise or other site hosting official functions including as under listed:

  • Providing Security in Office premises twenty4ourhouras may be allocated on Shift Schedules
  • Handling or sustaining links on minor security issues as may involve Government Law Enforcement Agencies
  • Manning the Gates of the Agency
  • Maintaining control and smoothness on the flow of visitors during official hours
  • Submitting security reports and inventory needs to forestall security lapses
  • All other duties assigned by the General Manager

Qualification and Experience

  • At least a First School Leaving, City and Guilds (or its equivalent) certificate.
  • Experience in similar function in development project or any other private sector establishment will be an added advantage.

 

Remuneration
This post attract attractive remuneration commensurate with the modes of entry and in accordance with agreed terms with the World Bank.
