Job Title: Facilities Intern

Location: Lagos

About the Facilities Department

  • The Facilities team is responsible for maintaining all Andela buildings and grounds facilities. Supervision of tasks related to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Security, Environmental, Health and Safety, Procurement, Custodial services, Space management Reception, Catering Services and Project management.

About the Facilities Intern Role

  • As a Facilities Intern, you will be expected to provide support to the rest of the Facilities team and ensure that all key responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality,  ‘Here for You Attitude’ (HYA).

Key Responsibilities
Some of your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the Facilities Space use calendar and coordinate meeting set up.
  • Monitor the CCTV cameras and Turnstiles  systems daily
  • Provide maintenance support by supervising Facilities maintenance tasks.
  • Manage issuance and retrieval of temporary, caterers cards.
  • Track and report on lost and found items.
  • Track elevator trap incidences.
  • Support the guest areas on the ground and fourth floors.
  • Support with daily monitoring of Cafeteria activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the Facilities team as required.
  • Perform all job duties with the utmost attention to safety and security measures which are outlined by Andela’s safety and security manual, employee handbook, and other company materials.

Job Title: Success Operations Manager

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

About the Role

  • As the Operations Manager within the technical service delivery department, Success, you will proactively support the unit in process improvements and automation to increase the overall productivity and efficiency of the team.
  • As an Operations Manager, you are service oriented, have an eye for inefficiencies, knack for building processes and implementing improvements. You are innovative and approachable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and ensure operational excellence and service to all units within the department.
  • Effective reporting and management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through dashboards and operational reports and trackers for the department.
  • Leading and managing internal process improvements projects and ensuring successful completion and delivery.
  • Audit of  existing processes to determine if they are delivering results effectively and efficiently and addressing any risks and gaps
  • Automation of processes with an aim of saving time and resources.
  • Assess efficiency of the team and develop initiatives that address gaps.

Qualifications

  • Background in product and process development desired
  • Have at least 3 years of experience working in Program, Project, Product Management in fast paced global organisation.
  • Ability to independently identify gaps in systems and processes, propose and implement solutions
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Excellent written & verbal communication, including ability to break down complex concepts into simpler forms for others to comprehend

Job Title: Program Manager, Success

As the Program Manager within the technical service delivery department, Success, you will proactively identify, manage and execute on operational and optimization projects and initiatives from inception to completion. This person will work to improve the productivity and efficiency backed by data and trackable by agreed upon KPIs.

The Program Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across all functions of the business, across our New York, Lagos, Kampala and Nairobi offices and report into the VP, Success.

The Program Manager is a machine; process-driven, data-driven, and results oriented. They consistently exceed the standards of everyone around them, but rarely exceed their own standards. They are passionate about “servant leadership.” They believe that they do the dirty organizational work so that the team can focus on what they do best: execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strong project management where you will set timelines, goals, deliverables, and execute accordingly along with a solid communication strategy and plan.
  • Identify, research, evaluate and recommend projects that optimize business and team performance based on defined strategy.
  • Structure analytical and data-driven approaches to evaluating and executing projects.
  • Define hypotheses, perform analysis, and come to a conclusion that solves operational problems.
  • Decide which projects we should prioritize in partnership with Sales, Partnerships, Talent Development leadership, then set an aggressive timeline and plan to reach goal.
  • Set-up, manage and coordinate cross-functional projects that are critical for driving business results.
  • Build and lead impactful relationships with cross-functional team members including the leadership teams.
  • Support the definition of departmental structure to ensure that they are effectively structured to meet the business needs of Andela.

Qualifications

  • Background in technology consulting desired though not required
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Have at least 7 years of experience working in program, client, partner management in fast paced global organisations.
  • Ability to identify gaps in systems and processes
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Strong relationship management skills, including ability to facilitate complex discussions
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage change.
  • Strong leadership experience, particularly around influencing stakeholders.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication, including ability to break down complex concepts into simpler forms for others to comprehend.
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
