Job Description

  • Supervise work procedures, method statements, time estimates, material and equipment lists and interfaces on site
  • Manage HSE Systems of work on site
  • Responsibility for all Process Safety issues on site
  • Oversee the HSE project plans and company procedures
  • Conduct HSE reviews, audits and inspections
  • Conduct Safety studies and risk assessments both qualitative and quantitative
  • Carry our incident investigations
  • Develop induction and site HSE training program
  • Reinforce Safe behaviors of work and correct unsafe behaviors
  • Chair Weekly and Monthly HSE meetings and communicate to management

Expectations

  • Engineering Degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the construction industry preferably in a similar position
  • Experience of large civil construction projects
  • Fully conversant with international health, safety & environmental codes, standards, recommended practices and regulations and their application to similar projects
  • Additionally, experience of developing safe behaviors of work and communicating at all levels of management is essential
  • Excellent in problem solving, analytical skills
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment and under pressure
  • Previous experience in Nigeria or West Africa will be a plus
