Job Title: Chief Engineer

Location: Niger Delta

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Engine Department and proper maintenance of vessel, plant and equipment.
  • He should carry out all his duties, while complying with the rules and regulations laid down by the Flag state administration, IMO and Port state authorities.
  • In order to minimize sources of fire, he must ensure that proper operation and maintenance of fuel and lubricating oil and purifying equipment is carried out to minimize leakages. In case there are leakages, they should be rectified at the earliest.
  • Maintain and repair engines, electric motors, pumps, winches and other mechanical and electrical equipment, or assist other crew members with maintenance and repair duties.
  • Monitoring engines, machinery and equipment indicators when vessel are underway and report abnormalities to appropriate shipboard staff.

Qualification and Experience

  • The Chief Engineer shall have a valid CoC Chief Engineer, issued by Flag state with a minimum working experience of 7 years under the capacity with a documented minimum 24 month practical experience as Second Engineer as shown on the discharge booklet.
  • He will also have documented good all-round competence relating to the platforms, different systems with particular emphasis on all technical system.
  • Fluent in written/oral English language.
  • He will also be expected to supervise the activities of marine engine technicians engaged in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical marine vessels, and inspect their work to ensure that it is performed properly.

 

Job Title: Technical Manager

Location: Niger Delta

Roles and Responsibilities

  • He will be providing technical expertise in the operation of the project which includes crew management related to task, logistics related to operations, service and maintenance.
  • Managing of the entire fleet management, supervising dry-docking, budgeting of annuals repairs, spares.
  • Responsible to look after audits
  • To check invoices from sub-contractor for accuracy of work completed
  • To undertake post inspections consistently and deal with any defect, rectification and take corrective action with functional head.

Qualification and Experience

  • The technical manager shall have at least 2-3 years of experience, a recognized Bachelor degree in a relevant branch of engineering, with extensive knowledge of offshore operations and typical systems found on AHT,AHTS,DPI and Dp2.

 

Job Title: Captain

Location: Niger Delta

Roles and Responsibilities

  • He will have overall command of the vessel which includes full responsibilities for the crew, the cargo and the safety of the vessel.
  • Regular communication with DPA/CSO on matters as health and safety
  • He shall be responsible for organizing/controlling and supervision of the entire crew onboard the vessel.
  • All instruction from company to crew will pass through him
  • Managing ship budget and expenditure as well as preparing for voyage plan.

Qualification and Experience

  • Reputable and recognize certificate as issued by Flag state.
  • Understanding of navigational/safety rules as applied by Class Society.
  • Knowledge in the use of current computer application such as window XP.

 

Job Title: Shipyard Manager

Location: Niger Delta

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Directs and coordinates shipyard operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Fosters a well-trained and motivated staff
  • Provides management and leadership to managers, supervisors and exempt staff.
  • Proven leader responsible for all production, manufacturing, yard support and administrative functions needed for safe and efficient shipyard operations. Coordinates with all functional areas of the shipyard to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Designs, manages and executes policies to deliver on time for the project.
  • Ensures accurate and complete records are maintained in all departments.

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a shipyard manager. A graduate degree in Engineering is preferable.
  • He will be experienced in ship building, particular tugs and barges. Manage the generation and preservation of Company Intellectual Property, including archiving/storage of designs, documentation of know-how, and preparation of patent applications.
  • Provides relevant technical information to Operations staff to enable proper operation and maintenance of field Technical Equipment.
  • From many different people and use a participative decision-making approach when appropriate.
  • Ability to relate with subcontractors, vendors specialist. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
