Job Title: Lead, Electrical

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • The Electrical Supervisor will exhibit exemplary safety and supervisory skills in all matters pertaining to electrical maintenance works on and pertinent to the vessel lie is responsible for ensuring his subordinates are competent to carry out their allotted tasks and conforming and clarifying status of electrical personnel (whether UAE, CEP or EO etc.) safety competence and maintenance related to electrical systems and equipment.
  • He will liaise effectively with other key management personnel.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Maintain and adjust the condition of electrical assets; Monitor and Assess the Performance and Condition of Electrical Assets;
  • Diagnose Faults in Electrical Assets;
  • Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures; Manage and Supervise effectively;
  • Carry Out Emergency Response Role; Demonstrate competence during Emergency Response Drills and training exercises.

Experiences/Competence

  • Qualified to at least B.Sc / HND, or NVQ Level 3 or recognised equivalent in Electrical Maintenance Engineering;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience preferred, with 3 years offshore petrochemical experience desired; 3 years proven supervisory experience with prior Senior Authorised position;
  • Excellent practical knowledge of PTW, Electrical Isolation Standards, Risk Assessment and Man Management, Power Management, System, Generation on LV COMP en Ex Coarse;
  • Preferred courses achieved: HV Protection and HVLV Switching;

Job Title: Master FSO

Location:

Job Description

  • The Marine Superintendent assumes complete authority for relevant manna activities such as berthing, and mooring. Subject to the complexity of the vessel, tie may also be responsible for cargo offloading and engine room operations.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Management System; Manage and Supervise Effectively: manage the operation of berthing, mooring and relevant marine activities with effective delegation and communication; Maintain marine Operations;
  • Contribute to the Control of Critical Situations and Respond to Emergencies;
  • Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures; Monitor and Maintain Marine and Cargo Operations.

Experience/Competence

  • STCW Rag. AII/2 (Master Mariner Unlimited) plus DCE for Petroleum/Gas as appropriate; Proven Tandem Berthing experience at open sea berths or internally Qualified Berthing Master, (QBM);
  • 5 years’ sea service on VLCC and 5 years minimum at rank of Master;

Job Title: Chief Officer

Job Description

  • The Chief Officer has authority for relevant marine activities such as berthing, and mooring. Depending on the complexity of the vessel, he may also be responsible for cargo offloading and engine room operations.

Roles / Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Management System; Promote safety awareness and broad application of the Management System, codes of practice and prime policies;
  • Ensure all relevant berthing or mooring activities are carried out according to O&M Contractor Management System or equivalent where O&M Contractor Management System is to be considered the minimum standards;

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Management System; Promote safety awareness and application of company Management System, COPs and prime policies;
  • Manage the operation of the vessel systems at department level through supervisors and subordinate staff; Ensure probationary and annual appraisals are completed fairlyand consistently in timely manner; Manage welfare and disciplinary issues at departmental level with appropriate reference to OIM and Fleet HR. 3);
  • Efficient operation of unit systems having due regard for Health and safety; Ensure full compliance with PTW system, and Risk assessment and verification;
  • Ensure full compliance with Class, Flag and Port State requirements, preserving the vessels operational status.;
  • Effective supervision of project, sub contract and vendor personnel; Efficiency improvement and pursuance of company goals; Responsible for condition monitoring, maintenance and repair of vessel and process systems; Manage parts control, inventories storage record keeping, shipping and receiving by use of AMOS. 4

Experience / Competence

  • Proven experience and ‘results-oriented career and/or HND or Degree equivalents in appropriate engineering subject, or STCW Reg. AIIII2 Chief Engineer unlimited, (motor and steam endorsement preferred) or equivalent;
  • 5 years minimum as Maintenance Superintendent (or Operations Office based equivalent); Experience and knowledge of Safety Management in hydrocarbon processing operations; Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utility systems, preferred; Supervisory experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment;

Job Title: Pumpman

Job Description

  • The Cargo Operator is authorised to carry out cargo loading and offloading and maintenance of cargo systems and utilities.

Roles /Responsibilities

  • Prepare for Start-up, Monitor and Shutdown Cargo Operations; Isolate, Maintain and Reinstate Pump room and Cargo Systems;
  • Operate under PTW and Isolation Certificates and conduct toolbox talks; Contribute to Tank Entry, Inspection arid Maintenance Activities; Tent Isolations for integrity to company procedures; Depresnurise, drain and vent, de-gas, the plant or system as required according to procedures or operating guides;
  • Confirm that the working area is free of hazards as per Permit or procedure using appropriate tests, (gas/H2S Inert, Volts etc.);

Job Title: Electrical and Mechanical Fitter

Job Description

  • The Filter has authority to carry out shipboard maintenance under the direction of the Chief Engineer. The Filter will ensure the safety of himself, Team Members, Visitors and Subcontractors within the limits of his responsibility.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Check preparation of loads for lifting , Use various lifting items (plate clamps, barrel lifters chain hoists etc.);
  • Perform bundling and slinging of simple and awkward loads; Maintain slinging equipment (slings, hooks, webbing plate clamps, barrel lifters chain hoists etc.);
  • Perform Effective Signalling/Communications; Direct the movement and placing of loads using appropriate hand and radio communication techniques; Rig, sling and position blind load using appropriate hand signals and using radio communications;
  • Perform Preparation and Cleaning of Equipment For Maintenance Or Coating; Prepare site for abrasive blasting and clean surfaces using abrasive tools; Paint or coat the worksite using correct colours, paints or protective coatings;

Job Title: Second Engineer

Job Description

  • The Second Engineer is specifically responsible for the maintenance of Engine Room Plant, equipment and systems and also the competence of those under his immediate supervision.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Engine Room Equipment and Systems and Utilities Operation and Maintenance;
  • Preparation, Commencement, Shutdown, Isolation and Reinstatement of Engine Room Plant and Systems, including vessel utility systems sourced from ER;

Experience/Competence

  • STCW Rag. AIII/2, 1ST Engineer (Steam/Motor / combined preferred) Certificate/National equivalent (DCE for Petroleum/Gas as appropriate);
  • At least 2 years as 1st Engineer (either on Steam or Motor Vessels): Fuel gas boiler firing experience highly desirable;

  • Comply with retevanl authorisation procedures, safe working practices and specific instructions; Complete maintenance in an agreed time scale, using safe and appropriate methods and agreed procedures;
  • Ensure resources and spares are planned for and seed cost effectively;
  • Monitor and Assess the performance and condition of electrical assets; Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures.

Experience/Competence

  • Preferably qualified to at least HNC / HND, or NVQ Level 3 or recognised equivalent, in Electrical Maintenance Engineering;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience preferred, with 3 years offshore petrochemical experience desired;

Job Description

  • The OIM is to be in charge of the safety of the Vessel and crew members as well as all Legal and Regulstory Compliance Peripherals relating to the upkeep of the Vessel.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Ensure training and exercises are conducted in accordance with requirements;
  • Manage emergency response with due regard for safety of personnel, FPSO and environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of potential emergency scenarios;
  • Ensure exercises are recorded, effective, with appropriate de-brief and analysis.

Experience/Competence

  • Proven experience and results-oriented career and/or BEng or Degree equivalents in appropriate engineering subject, OR Marine qualified to Master Mariner/Chief Engineer unlimited as per STCW Reg.AIII2 and Reg. A. 111/2 respectively;
  • Appropriate period as OIM (10 years minimum); Offshore Personal Survival, Management of Major Emergencies, DIM Controlling Emergencies, IMCA 891 preferable;
  • Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent; Extensive knowledge of offshore FPSO operations, including Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Safety Management;

Roles/Responsibilities

Experience/Competence

  • 5 years’ experience in the Marine or Petroleum Industry, preferably FPSO experience;

Job Title: Control Room Operator (CRO)

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • The CRO is authorized to control and adjust the automated process safely to masimixe production efficiently and to coordinate permits and related isolations for maintenance.

Roles/ Responsibilities

  • Start up, Operate, Monitor and Shut Down Process and Utility Systems, monitor maintain and optimise process parameters within operating requirements, compare sample and testing results (API/BS&W/salinity) of process and utility fluids to optimal, Trouble shoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume to identify problems,
  • Maintain discharge water quality within current O&M Contractor Operations or local guideline, Monitor and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, Fire and Gas Systems.
  • Ensure accurate production reporting is submitted daily or as required by company and client, Witness third party calibrations when appropriate to provide verification of meter factors and volumes, prove export oil meters;
  •  Marine/Safety: Implementing and enforcing O&M Contractor Operations Management System policies and procedures in particular Isolation Standards, and PTW;
  • Carry out all operations in safe and environmentally sound manner, Report all discharges, leaks, spits, injuries, and incidents, Ensure personnel understand and comply with current environmental regulations. Carry out Emergency Response role;
  • Maintenance: Assist maintenance operations by applying /removing isolation as required; Supervise operation of PTW system; Monitor and maintain pollution control measures; Manage and Supervise, Co-ordinate activities and resources effectively;

Experience/Competence

  • 7 years’ minimum in Hydrocarbon processing operations with 2 years as CCRO and appropriate mix of operational, and supervisory experience;
  • Offshore Personal Survival, Management of Major Emergencies, Medical certificates; Good level of troubleshooting and operations knowledge including interpretation of P&IDs and C&E charts;
  • Extensive knowledge of offshore FPSO operations, including Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Safety; Good working Knowledge of DCS and F&G systems operation; Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
  • Technical; High standard of technical, and professional knowledge as defined by competences. Good knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems. Some knowledge of cargo handling and marine utility systems where appropriate for position; Practical familiarity with standard ‘Office’ software package, electronic mail system.
 
 
 
Job Title: Process Technician

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • The Production Technician is authorized to operate the process and utility systems safely and efficiently and help to prepare such platform for maintenance.

Roles / Responsibilities

  • Start up, Operate, Monitor and Shut Down Process and Utility systems, Monitor, maintain and optimize process parameters (Level, flow, temperature, pressure etc.) within operating requirements
  • Ensure sampling is carried out and sample results are acted upon, Trouble shoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume to identify problems, Maintain discharge water quality within currant O&M Contractor or local guidelines
  • Monitor and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, Fire and Gas Systems, Ensure accurate and timely production reporting and logging in submitted daily or as required by company, Witness third party calibrations when appropriate to provide verification of meter factors and volumes, Prove export oil meters.
  • Marine/Safety; Work to O&M Contractor Management System policies and procedures in particular Isolation Standards, and PTW, Carry out all operations in safe and environmentally sound manner, Report all discharges, leaks, spills, injuries, and incidents.
  • Maintenance; Facilitate maintenance operations by applying/removing isolation as required, Operation under PTW system, Toolbox Talk and Risk Assessments, Advise maintenance personnel on hazards of plant and equipment, Maintain clear and precise communications during maintenance operations; Create and maintain effective working relationships.

Experience/Competence

  • Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVO Hydrocarbon Processing Level 2 or similar qualification level from country of origin;
  • 7 years’ experience of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities; Knowledge of ESD F&G and DCS operation; Good understanding of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment;
  • Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent;
  • IT: Practical familiarity with standard package. Operation Office and use software Internet and electronic mail system.
 
 

Job Title: Lead Mechanical Boiler Operator

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • The Equipment Inspector undertakes regulatory compliance inspections on Boilers, pressure vessels systems and related instruments/equipment

Roles / Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Effective Working Relationships; Establish and maintain effective communications with colleagues, external visitors and supervisors; Carry out accurate and effective work handovers work;
  • Conduct internal and external equipment inspection as well as hydro test as required by the regulation; Ensure full compliance with SPIE regulation;
  • Keep all inspection and equipment date book updated; Produce reports the equipment inspection and its data book;
  • Follow external audit and reports to time Maintenance Superintendent and to the Equipment Inspector Coordinator the status of the audit; Coordination of the subcontractors work on board the unit in regards to the SPIE equipment; Contribute to The Health and Safely of the Working Environment.

Experience/Competence

  • Perform Emergency Response Role; Provide any additional duties as required by the OIMUnit Spt. and/or HOD to maintain safe and efficient sunning of the Unit, Proven experience and/or qualified to Equipment Inspection Course, 10 years’ experience; Proven qualification on NDT and welding;
  • Experience and knowledge in offshore operation is desirable; Computer literate on Management System ‘Office’ software packages;
  • Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent;
  • Good level of teamwork and safety behaviors. Sufficient ability in written and spoken communication in English language to enable safe work handovers and Emergency Response;
  • Appropriate standard of technical and safety knowledge as defined by competences.
