Job Title: Lab Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are recruiting a highly organised professional to join our team as a Lab Manager
  • As Lab Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, organising and directing the daily activities at the Lab/Office.
  • You will bring our space to life as you oversee the daily operations of our office and demonstrate​ the ability to make the Lab a vibrant place, where all visitors feel welcome
  • You will manage hospitality, event, and vendor management etc. Our ideal candidate is also great at communicating with visitors, the work we carry out at the Lab.

Roles and Responsibility

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Lab
  • Develop processes and procedures for projects, events planning and management
  • Oversee events and programmes at the centre by organizing and coordinating resources.
  • Manage historical reference and repository of information by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems.
  • Support units within the organization, and work teams by documenting and communicating actions
  • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchase of new requests with attention to budgetary constraints.
  • Manage schedules and deadlines.
  • Establish relationships and liaise with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Keep up-to-date records of all lab activities.

  • Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation
  • Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations
  • Co-ordinate and serve as a principal point of contact (POC) for all matters related to the Lab.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in Administration, Customer Service or Office Management.
  • A University Degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with online and digital technologies
  • In-depth understanding of office management procedures and processes
  • Skill in prioritizing work assignments to handle multiple tasks; ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to plan, organize and carry out a wide variety of programmes that promote the Lab and its resources to target audiences.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural setting and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds.

Job Title: Facilities Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Descriptions

  • As Facility Manager, you will bring our spaces to life as you oversee the daily operations of our offices. You will act as a single point of contact for all facility management issues across electrical, plumbing, security, environmental, safety and logistics coordination.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Respond appropriately to Facility Management emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
  • Provide regular management information to key stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure compliance and statutory regulations on fire, health & safety standards.
  • Vendor management oversees basic office procurements, installation and commissioning of equipment that are required for the facility – air-conditioning etc, and ensure that vendors comply with the required service expectations at the hub.
  • Recommend continuous quality improvement practices & implement industry best practice operations.
  • Manage all work related to the maintenance of our spaces including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, environmental, safety, repairs, maintenance and replacement of equipment, furniture, and furnishings.
  • Act as info hub for providing facility related information, and supervising facility operations activities including diesel supply, checks and procedures for all events at the hub.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and also team members
  • Develop systems and processes for reporting faults and effective facility management.

Job Title: Office/Lab Support

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • We are looking for a competent Office Assistant to help with the organisation and running of the daily administrative operations of the Company.
  • Our ideal candidate is a professional who is able to take on a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure.
  • This person is highly organised, comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail as well as looking for effective ways to achieve better results.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact between team members and internal/external clients.
  • Deal with enquiries to the Lab, and also handle requests and queries appropriately.
  • Coordinate communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with clients.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and manage travel itineraries.
  • Maintain an organized filing system of electronic documents.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, evaluating new office products, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Manage correspondences such as letters and emails.
  • Suggest more efficient ways to run the office and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Review and recommend changes to company policies.
  • Support the end to end organization of events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and also team members.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • University Degree required.
  • 3-5 years experience in Office Management, Customer or Client Care or related field.
  • Ability to work as a team and also independently.
