Job Title: Human Resources Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking to recruit a Human Resources Officer with at least 3 years relevant experience to join the support team of a leading hospitality business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and smooth run of the monthly payroll by providing the accounts department with required employee information (fines and other deductions, new employee start dates, end dates, absenteeism, etc).
  • Participating in the preparation and deployment of payroll activities every month and ensuring all employees are paid promptly and correctly
  • Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
  • Schedule, organize and participate in recruitment interviews.
  • Organise, plan and conduct induction for all new staff.
  • Ensure that all staff operational resources/materials are available (e.g. staff uniforms, name tags, ID cards etc)
  • Responsible for dealing with grievances and staff welfare related matters.
  • Ensure that employees receive allowances and benefits due to them when they become eligible.
  • Conduct reference checks and collate guarantor information on prospective candidates.
  • Ensuring that a proper filing system is maintained for all staff information and records.
  • Ensure all employees’ record files are properly updated with the necessary set of documents.
  • Establish a network of relationships with the employees and ensure that this improves efficiency across the business
  • Perform other HR related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of university degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in HR or similar role.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Strong Oral and written Communication skills
  • Ability to cope with and work under pressure
  • Strong Analytical skills.
