Job Title: Machinist
Location:

Job Description

  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
  • Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts.
  • Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Check workpieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled.
  • Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Position and fasten workpieces.
  • Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.

Job Title: Sales Representative/Showroom Manager
Location:

Job Description

  • Work with customers or their representatives (designers, contractors etc.) in planning and product selection
  • Possess a professional, knowledgable, positive and energetic attitude
  • Uses strong consultative sales skills and interpersonal skills (both oral and written), attention to detail, strong follow-up skills and motivation to hook the customer into using PBM for their job
  • Assist manager in marketing campaigns
  • Maintain accurate and organized files
  • Work with Outside Sales Staff and Counter Sales Staff to assist in following up with customers
  • Develop long-term relationships with industry customers (i.e. designers)
  • Read blueprints to ensure compatibility between product ordered and customer desire and needs
  • Use appropriate office technologies and computers to process and track orders and maintain excellent communication with all contacts
  • Assist with special projects such as special events and display changes
  • Maintain the Showroom as a professional place of business
  • Follow company policies and procedures

Job Title: Sprayer
Location:

Job Description

  • Brush, spray, or hand-rub finishing ingredients, such as paint, oil, stain, or wax, onto and into wood grain; then apply lacquer or other sealers.
  • Disassemble items to prepare them for finishing, using hand tools.
  • Fill and smooth cracks or depressions, remove marks and imperfections, and repair broken parts, using plastic or wood putty, glue, nails, and/or screws.
  • Follow blueprints to produce specific designs.
  • Distress surfaces with woodworking tools or abrasives before staining to create an antique appearance, or rub surfaces to bring out highlights and shadings.
  • Paint metal surfaces electrostatically, or by using a spray gun or other painting equipment.
  • Recommend woods, colors, finishes, and furniture styles, using knowledge of wood products, fashions, and styles.

 

 

Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

  • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
  • Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
  • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
