Job Title: State Manager

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Work with Beijing team and local marketing team to develop effective growth strategies and launch offline campaigns across the state.
  • Supervise campus ambassors from each university. May involve traveling across the state to ensure efficient budget allocation and progress reporting.
  • Report campaign progress and key metric performance analysis to provide timely feedback.
  • Organize ad hoc marketing research and provide target user insight. Adjust campaign strategies accordingly if neccesarry.
  • Work with Online Marketing team to leverage integrated marketing to drive greatest user growth.

Qualifications

  • Language: Professional working proficiency in English required. Proficiency in local languages a plus.
  • Experience: Should have at least 6 months experience in a similar role, preferably at a multinational tech company or local tech startup. Track record of success and proven results of growing online user base through managing offline marketing campaigns required. On campus marketing experience preferred. A/B Testing and Data Analytics experience a Plus.
  • Skillset: Outstanding project management and coordination skills required. Should be resourceful in connecting with offline marketing channels.
  • Preferred qualities: Familiar with Nigerian and international feed news apps and social apps. Familiar with changing consumer and market trends.

Job Title: System Administrator, Opera – Payments Platform

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-Time

Job Descriptions

  • The ideal candidate should be able to work together with the developers, development and operations engineers, project leads, and the security team to grow and improve our cloud infrastructure; automate and document changes resolve incidents; and provide developers with necessary cloud infrastructure, license management, and office infrastructure support.
  • Opera Payments Platform (OPay) enables users to pay for various services through their mobile or web browser. It provides fast, easy, and secure payments and money transfers. Our key markets are emerging economies in Africa, Asia, and South America, where Opera has a traditionally strong presence and user base.

Responsibilities

  • Improve and scale infrastructure in AWS according to the needs of the project
  • Resolve incidents
  • Cooperate with the security team to ensure that our setup remains secure
  • Provide technical support for the developers
  • Integrating and migrating legacy infrastructure to the cloud
  • Managing licenses, hardware inventory and local infrastructure

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in IT or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated, structured, quality-driven, and able to take initiative
  • Strong systems administration experience with Linux
  • Deep understanding of the network stack and traffic routing
  • Experience with AWS services, such as ECS, EC2, and EBS
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and good communication skills

Ideal Job Requirements

  • Experience in “infrastructure-as-a-code” platforms (Terraform, etc)
  • Hands-on experience with docker containers orchestration
  • Programming skills in scripting languages (Python/JavaScript)

  • We are looking for a passionate and engaged graphic designer with experience in advertising or marketing graphic design to join our design team. Web and mobile application visual design experience is a plus. The position is in Lagos, Nigeria and is part of the global Opera Payment Product Department.
  • The Opera Payments Platform (OPay) enables users to pay for various services through their mobile or web browser. It provides fast, easy, and secure payments and money transfers. Our key markets are emerging economies in Africa, Asia, and South America, where Opera has a traditionally strong presence and user base.
  • As part of the design team, you will work in close collaboration with the marketing team. Design deliverables will include, but are not limited to: campaigns, ad creation and placement, social media content, product launches, image retouches, packaging, and more. It is essential that the right candidate can articulate design rationally, verbally, and visually. You have the proven ability to work in a team of creatives with a hands-on approach from receiving the briefing to the final execution.
