Job Title: HVAC Design Engineer

Location: Abuja
Reports to: Head of Design

Job Summary

  • We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC Design Engineer to join our organisation.
  • In this role, you will develop sustainable building services designs on numerous major projects including commercial, residential, tall tower, Infrastructure and mixed-use developments.
  • You must have strong organizational, leadership, communication and technical skills in order to take this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Run the finances of projects through the instruction of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all technical issues within and around projects
  • Provide Mechanical troubleshooting and evaluation services.
  • Reading design specifications and technical drawings prepared by other contractors
  • Represent the company on all meetings and requests by the client
  • Prepare conceptual designs, working and As-Built Drawings for projects engaged by MMIS.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships and communicate with clients to explain proposals, present research findings, establish specifications or discuss project status.
  • Develop and implement design and construction of assigned projects according to laid down specifications or standards
  • Providing analytical and problem solving support, employing engineering skills, in support of business and quality improvement processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bill- of quantities and documentation (Operating and maintenance Manuals)
  • Advise and assist in obtaining patents or meeting other legal requirements.
  • Maintain an awareness of trends, knowledge of the market and may also conduct research / market intelligence in the field of expertise.(Material sourcing and price Intelligence)
  • Motivate team members as the need arises.
  • Provide management and leadership skills, including some level of administration.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of team members’ competence.
  • Confer with other Senior engineers, regulators, vendors and others, to plan and review projects,
  • Make presentation at professional meetings further knowledge in the field.

Requirements

  • B.Sc, B.Tech /HND or M.Sc. (or its equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable and accredited higher institution of learning.
  • Minimum of 3 years post NYSC relevant experience in engineering services with speciality in HVAC design.
  • Proficient use of design/drafting software such as AutoCAD MEP, REVIT etc.
  • Must be a registered member of COREN & NSE.
  • Candidate must have previous experience in site management.
  • Membership & knowledge of ASHRAE Standards and Guidelines will be an added advantage.

Job Title: HVAC/AC Technician

Location: Lagos
Reports to: HVAC Supervisor

Job Summary

  • We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC Technician to join our organisation.
  • In this role, you will install, maintain and repair HVAC systems.
  • The HVAC Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems.
  • The HVAC Technician will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs.
  • You must have strong organizational, leadership, communication and technical skills in order to take this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School (SSCE) with Test I, Trade Test II and Trade Test III certificate, or suitable equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue in HVAC field.
  • Experience and good understanding of VRF, VRV, rooftop units, and ducted split systems will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
  • Working knowledge of boiler systems.
  • Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
  • Good Knowledge and practice of Health and Safety.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Take part in the creation of drawing specification on each service such as HVAC, Lighting Systems, Firefighting and RAID, General Plumbing, Water supply etc. based on client requirement and industry standard.
  • Proffer solutions to client specific situations in terms of design.
  • Select appropriate equipment for each service.
  • Review and analyze specifications.
  • Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
  • Collect details of work from Clients and prepare technical specifications of systems.

Reports to: The Head of Design & Estimation

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled, reliable, efficient Quantity Surveyor to join our growing organization.
  • In this position, you will assist QS team to estimate costs of construction projects, working with contractors, builders, and architects to provide the most cost-effective plans that meet high quality standards.
  • He/she will work to minimize the costs of project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs
  • Estimate quantity and costs of materials
  • Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the Project managers, design department and/or the client
  • Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
  • Act as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineers
  • Keep track of construction materials and inventory
  • Identify potential financial or construction risks
  • Advise clients on improvements, strategies, and/or estimated costs
  • Prepare payments for contractors and subcontractors
  • Document progress, materials, and reports on project
  • Advise on property taxes, regulations, and local laws
  • Source maintenance costs and facilities management for clients
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractors

Minimum Educational Qualifications & Professional Experience

  • University Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering or related field from a reputable higher institution of learning.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the construction/Engineering industry with a focus on Electromechanical, Firefighting, HVAC and plumbing projects.
  • Professional certification such as Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors(NIQS),Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (QSRBN) and other Professional bodies will be an added advantage
  • Project management Certification will an added advantage
  • Health & Safety Certification will be an added advantage.
