Job Title: Quality Assurance Team Leader (Operations)

Location: Lagos

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in the supervision of Food Safety and Security, and Quality Assurance programs. In this role, will also oversee the direct supervision of Quality & Sanitation Technicians to ensure all Quality, Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines are implemented and adhered to.
  • Responsible for shift/work scheduling, training, delegation of duties & disciplinary actions of the Quality Assurance and Sanitation Team.
  • Ensure that all Quality Assurance functions are being performed, and documented, in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with Technicians to follow up on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) deviations and report Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) modifications to Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Monitor and/or perform tasks on the raw product inbound inspection processes.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager in trending data for various Quality Assurance programs.
  • Perform periodic, daily walk through of the facility to ensure that all quality and food safety standards are being complied with and submit corrective action request as needed to perspective departments.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager in performing internal, regulatory agency facility, and operational audits.
  • Train staff on all equipment calibrations, quality assurance and preventive maintenance.

Job Requirements
Ideal educational background, experience:

  • B.Sc or HND in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related discipline
  • At least 7 years prior experience in a similar role with direct reports
  • Strong knowledge of calibration and ability to read blue prints
  • Candidate experience from Uniliver/Nestle/Promosidar/Bayswater /other MNC companies (Preferably)
  • Environment and Safety – Practise 5S and GMP

Other key competences for success:

  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
  • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good hygiene level of the factory.
  • Ensure safe – working conditions always according to safety guidelines and the use of good initiative.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Job Title: QA Shift-In-Charge

Location: Lagos

Job Description

Responsible for coordinating all quality assurance activities including reports in his shift.

  • Coordinating all operations and activities throughout the shift.
  • Coordinating sorting activities.
  • Ensuring physical inspection and analysis of raw material
  • Monitoring and ensuring proper hygiene in the factory
  • Ensuring all packaging materials are analysed
  • Coordinating the receiving of all raw materials for production.
  • Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Monitoring and applying necessary correction on the effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and waste water
  • Ensuring calibration of all laboratory equipment’s
  • Drafting & implementation of blending plan.
  • Monitoring the handling of non–conforming and potentially unsafe products.
  • Ensuring the implementation of Compliance with 5s, HACCP and other necessary relevant food safety policies.
  • Coordinating all tests and analyses.
  • Ensuring adherence to on-line packing standards, quarantine and storage standards
  • All other duties as assigned by the QAM

Job Requirements
Ideal educational background, experience:

  • At least 3 years’ prior experience in same or similar capacity
  • B.SC/HND in Industrial Chemistry / Microbiology / Food Tech. etc.
  • Candidate experience from Uniliver/Nestle/Promosidar/Bayswater /other MNC companies (Preferably)

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Responsible for mechanical & electrical maintenance of the entire plant and machinery to achieve the best efficiency and productivity and Lead the Technical team both Mechanical/Electrical to run the plant without machine breakdown.
  • Responsible for the supervision of Quality to achieve:
    • Coordinate between inter- departments for technical issues to achieve factory objectives and productivity.
    • Tracking of breakdown, OEE of machines, its history card etc to check and monitor condition of the equipment and to take in review of shift maintenance.
    • Responsible for maintenance of spare parts inventory level, spare part ordering and local parts development along with monthly reconciliation activities in coordination with Technical stores.
    • Overall training /orientation of technicians and operators for operations, maintenance and safety.
    • Maintaining documentation of plant activities as per norms and standards.
    • Responsible for leading and handling statutory audits like ISO 18001,14001 calibration etc.
    • Implementation of safe work practices.
    • Ensure GMP and good house-keeping is practiced and followed at work place.
    • Responsible for expansion project, if any, in factory both civil and mechanical along with project Team.
    • Monitor and evaluate team members and adjust training where necessary.
    • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the job/ activities.
    • Responsible for conducting departmental meetings in plant and give feedback to his superior.

Job Requirements
Ideal educational background, experience:

  • B.Sc /HND Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 8 – 10 Years in the same capacity in a reputable organization (Preferably FMCG)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
