We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head, Logistics
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- Manage logistics personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operations.
- Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
- Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives of delivery.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and other related course.
- Professional qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics Management.
- Vast Knowledge in Courier delivery and Logistics System Management.
- Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in a reputable organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Excellent geographical knowledge.
- Excellent financial acumen.
- Extensive knowledge of the transportation industry.
- Good intuition to make crucial judgment calls.
- Good resource management.
- Critical Thinking and Analysis.

Core Responsibilities
- Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.
- Analyze financial records to improve efficiency.
- Implement transportation changes to reduce environmental impact.
- Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation services.
- Establish or monitor specific supply chain–based performance measurement systems and monitor organizational procedures to ensure proper functioning.
- Oversee the movement, distribution and storage of products in an organization.
- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
- Implement transportation changes to reduce environmental impact.
- Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
- Develop operating strategies, plans, or procedures for quick and efficient logistics systems.
