Specification

  • Provision of every necessary support to the Procurement Manager in the purchase of high-quality, price-right products for the Organization, in accordance with the procurement policies of the Business.

Key Elements of the Role
Support the Commercial Planning Manager in achieving the following:

  • To Develop and implement Strategic Sourcing initiatives that align with organization’s corporate goals for non-inventory procurement spend.
  • To partner with stakeholders to review spend analysis and identify opportunities for tenders that will lead to cost savings.
  • Determine sources of supply for non-inventory purchases, ensuring that these suppliers are approved and registered in line with the Vendor Management Policy.
  • Lead and assist with price negotiations, terms and conditions resolution and quality requirements.
  • Develop systems of control, policies and procedures to drive compliance in the procurement process.
  • Establish total cost of ownership practices for key commodities reinforced through supplier base optimization and regular benchmarking.
  • Develop and execute strategic plan on deliveries of items between Suppliers, Logistics and warehousing to ensure all items are delivered to store as at when due.
  • Facilitate the handling and monitoring of claims from store to suppliers for shortages, sub-standard and damaged items.

Introduction

  • We are currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our growing team.
  • The COO is a key member of Executive Management and is accountable for executing the growth strategy of the Company supervising the entire organisation’s day-to-day operations reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced and efficient leader, able to maintain control of diverse business operations. Objectives of this Role

  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Direct and open communication with the CEO in all matters of importance
  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, corporate alliances etc.)
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors, all other stakeholders
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
  • Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
  • Aggressively manage capital investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves investor targets relative to growth and profitability
  • Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting.
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures in managing fast growing, international standard pharmacy chain.
  • Assist the CEO in developing and building the platform for enhanced, highly scalable, multi-site operations.
  • Preparing and maintaining internal Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (HR, IT, Facility and Admin Services, Corporate Transformation, Information Technology etc)
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication

Requirements

  • Handle Human Resource matters related to Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Selection and Placement
  • Coordinate the entire staff recruitment process which includes but is not limited to preparing advertisements, checking application forms, short listing, administering pre-employment assessments, interviewing and selecting candidates, conducting pre-employment medicals, reference checks, guarantor’s verification etc.
  • Work closely with the Talent Manager to promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization;
  • Propose innovative and creative measures to address pressing staffing issues in the organisation at every point in time.
  • Provide advice and assistance with writing job descriptions
