Job Title: Make-Up Artist
Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Sterilize equipment and clean work areas:
- Clean tools or equipment.
- Clean work areas or facilities.
- Examine clients’ skin, using magnifying lamps or visors when necessary, to evaluate skin condition and appearance:
- Assess skin or hair conditions.
- Cleanse clients’ skin with water, creams, or lotions:
- Apply cleansing or conditioning agents to client hair, scalp, or skin.
- Demonstrate how to clean and care for skin properly and recommend skin-care regimens.
- Demonstrate activity techniques or equipment use:
- Teach health or hygiene practices.
- Provide medical or cosmetic advice for clients.
- Perform simple extractions to remove blackheads.
- Select and apply cosmetic products such as creams, lotions, and tonics.
- Apply cleansing or conditioning agents to client hair, scalp, or skin.
- Stay abreast of latest industry trends, products, research, and treatments.
- Maintain professional knowledge or certifications.
- Determine which products or colors will improve clients’ skin quality and appearance.
- Treat the facial skin to maintain and improve its appearance, using specialized techniques and products, such as peels and masks:
- Apply cleansing or conditioning agents to client hair, scalp, or skin.
- Refer clients to medical personnel for treatment of serious skin problems.
- Provide medical or cosmetic advice for clients:
- Remove body and facial hair by applying wax.
- Keep records of client needs and preferences and the services provided:
- Maintain client information or service records.
- Provide facial and body massages:
- Administer therapeutic massages.
- Collaborate with plastic surgeons and dermatologists to provide patients with preoperative and postoperative skin care:
- Apply chemical peels to reduce fine lines and age spots.
- Apply cleansing or conditioning agents to client hair, scalp, or skin
Job Qualifications
- Applicant should not be less than 20 years of age
- Minimum of 3-6 months experience
- Applicant should be willing to learn fast
- Minimum of SSCE Certificate
- Candidates should reside around Lekki, VI, Ikoyi, and its axis.
