Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Locations: Ibadan-Oyo, Lagos & Ogun
Preferred Sector: FMCG (Drinks and Beverages)
Reports to: Regional Sales Director

Job Summary

  • To deliver primary sales, secondary sales and reach objectives for the region as set out by the company.

Key Competencies Required

  • Delivers primary sales targets (Volume and Value) for the region
  • Plans and directs Partners distribution strategy to deliver on Regional reach targets
  • Delivers the annual business plan by partner for the region
  • Oversees Channel Development Managers
  • Coaches, trains and evaluates Account Executives, Account Managers and Area Sales Managers
  • Identifies and supports talent within the regional team
  • Responsible for recruiting new Partners in line with business needs
  • Builds and maintain relationship with all partners in the assigned region
  • Promptly reports competitive information and provides market intelligence
  • Leads and manages one or more Account Executives, Account Managers and Area Sales Managers
  • Leads monthly KPI reviews with strategic partners within assigned region
  • Acts as immediate point of escalation for Area Sales Managers
  • Acts as immediate back-up for the Regional Sales Director
  • Regional pipeline and receivables management
  • Coordinating customer marketing activities within the region
  • Review Partner’s P&L or calculate Partner’s ROI
  • Negotiating trade terms
  • Managing payables and receivables
  • Forecasting – sales, collections and inventory

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND (Any Discipline). Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 6 years of selling experience in FMCG environment
  • Must have great Leadership and come from FMCG Companies
  • Must be familiar with the existing market penetration strategies and must be able to implement same in client’s company
  • Versatile with MS Office package -Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must speak Hausa fluently
