Job Title: Commissioning Expert

Location: Nigeria

Requirements
Education:

  • In addition to obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, General Engineering or a similar field, Some power plant maintenance experience preferred.
  • HSE training minimum IOSH standard.

Experience:

  • 7 years of experience (as a commissioning expert)
  • Ability to logically and systematically troubleshoot faulty equipment (mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation)
  • Ability to read construction drawings (all disciplines)
  • Ability to communicate with design engineers of all disciplines (process, civil, mechanical, electrical, controls)
  • Familiarity with National Electric Code, and ability to interpret code requirements
  • Familiarity with P&lDs, process control loops, PLCs and PLC networks, and HMIs
  • Detail-oriented with strong technical skills and interpersonal skills Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experienced with PCs, Windows operating systems, Windows Office, Internet, e-mail, and smartphones.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • A commissioning expert should have expertise in carrying out the followings:
  • Mobilize a complete startup staff consisting of discipline leads, start up engineers, LOTO administrator, turnover package coordinator and startup scheduler
  • Conduct and direct all lube oil flushes using both high velocity and on-board pumps
  • Provide instrumentation calibration
  • Provide high voltage testing in preparation for back feed power
  • Provide base line equipment vibration analysis records
  • Manage the installation of temporary steam blow piping
  • Flush and restore to normal operations all balance of plant piping systems.
  • Conduct and direct all hydro testing including HRSG and conventional fired boilers
  • Startup and commission water treatment plants
  • Supply all test equipment required to conduct startup and testing activities
  • Provide DCS initial start up and tuning services
  • Provide on-the-job training of plant personnel.

 

Job Title: Spare Parts/Material Expert

Location: Nigeria

Requirements
Education:

  • Degree in Commercial Discipline.
  • Recognised technical qualification in engineering.

Experience:

  • 7 years’ experience in materials supply and management, Co-ordinating, shipment handling in an industrial power plant environment.
  • Experience in handling of materials.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Knowledge of inventory control system.
  • Understanding of material controlling and service co-ordinating.
  • Forklift Driver’s license.

 

Job Title: Electrical Specialist

Location: Nigeria

Requirements
Education:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or) Higher National Certificate (according to British standards) will be suitable if accompanied by the relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Five years in supervisory position.
  • Five years in power generation operation and maintenance with GT/ST units, boilers and plant equipment.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • The ability to speak and write in English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge in rotating equipment, generators, power relaying, high voltage sub-stations and safety.
  • Knowledge in monitoring systems.

 

Job Title: Instrument and Control Specialist

Location: Nigeria

Requirements
Education:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or) Higher National Certificate (according to British standards) will be suitable if accompanied by the relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Five years in supervisory position.
  • Five years in power generation operation and maintenance with GT/ST units, boilers and plant equipment.

  • The ability to speak and write in English.
  • Basic computer skills.

Job Title: Engineering Manager

Location: Nigeria

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of the engineering design and engineering practices on a modem Power Station.
  • Substantial knowledge of the engineering and maintenance aspects of a GT in a CCPP.
  • The ability to produce and manage a budget.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the local employment agreements to manage the Maintenance Department personnel.
  • Good leadership qualities and skills.
  • Good management skills.

Education

  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering leading to Chartered Engineer status.
  • Higher National Certificate (according to British standards) will be suitable if accompanied by the relevant experience.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in power generation engineering and maintenance.
  • Five years’ experience at a higher management level.
  • Preferably 3 years experience of GT Power Stations
  • Experience of working in Power Station in foreign countries preferred

 

Job Title: Mechanical Specialist

Experience:

  • Five years in supervisory position.
  • Eight years in power generation operation and maintenance with GT/ST units, boners and plant equipment.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • The ability to speak and write in English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge in rotating equipment and Gas Turbines.

  • Considerable experience in safe working practices within a heavy engineering environment.

 

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Nigeria

  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of the engineering design and engineering practices on a modem Power Station.
  • Substantial knowledge of the engineering and maintenance aspects of a GT m a CCPP.
  • The abilityio produce and manage a budget
  • Sufficient knowledge of the local employment agreements to manage the Maintenance Department personnel.

Education

  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering leading to Chartered Engineer status.

Job Title: HVAC Specialist

Location: Nigeria

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus experience in the HVAC engineering Industry
  • Professional Engineer license.

Experience:

  • Experience with 3D Modeling programs such as AutoCAD
  • Experience in complex HVAC system maintenance (e.g. manufacturing areas for the pharmaceutical industry or electronic component manufacturing with strictly controlled environment, temperature, humidity, complex office buildings, retail trade buildings such as malls, multifunctional hotels, sports and leisure centres having also indoor pools and SPAS);
  • Experience in maintaining heat carrier production systems for civil or industrial use in a system of heat pumps and geothermal networks;
  • Experience in maintaining clean rooms (minimumlSO7) is an advantage;
  • Experience in designing or executing complex HVAC systems is an advantage.

Job Title: Chemist Specialist

Location: Nigeria

Knowledge and Expertise

  • An understanding of chemistry practices on a modern Power Station.
  • Substantial knowledge of the Chemical aspects of a CCPP.
  • A detailed knowledge of the legislation associated with the discharges from the plant.
  • A detailed knowledge of the Power Station organisation.
  • A detailed knowledge of the Safety Rules.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to speak and write English in a technical manner.

Education

  • Higher National Certificate in Chemistry and ideally Environmental Protection.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years experience in a steam and water treatment in a ST or GT power plant is preferred.
  • License Requirements: Any Governmental Licenses required for the position.

 

Job Title: Condition Monitoring Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Requirements
Education:

  • University graduate/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field)
  • Knowledge of power plant engineering, operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge in billing using similar system.

Experience:

  • 5 years or more satisfactory experience as Condition Monitoring Engineer in a power plant or complex industrial facility.
  • 8 years of experience as a field Mechanical Engineer.
  • Hands on experience as a millwright, maintenance mechanic, boilermaker, or industrial electrician highly preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&ID’s required. Ability to read and comprehend structural blueprints, electrical drawings, l&C drawings, and control logic drawings highly preferred.
  • Documented professional training a plus.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
  • Good understanding of industry best practices relating to Predictive Maintenance and Condition monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Trained and skilled in CMMS. Experience with software for Condition Monitoring and Analysis highly preferred
  • Previous extended tours of work in man camp/remote access locations or experience as a field contractor highly preferred.

 

Job Title: HSEQ Manager

Location: Nigeria

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Associate of the science degree in applicable field
  • Formal training in safety and risk management
  • Computer skills required-knowledge of Microsoft office-MSWord. MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook. Master builder knowledge and experience is highly desirable.
  • Willing to travel

Education:

  • Ideally, 5 to 10 years in a similar position. Experience preferred in CCPP and GT, but industrial, marine and utility power may be acceptable.

Education:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or) Higher National Certificate.

Experience:

  • Membership of a Professional Institution at Chartered or Incorporated Engineer level or be working towards registration.
  • Thorough knowledge of Alstom GT26 CCGT.
  • Knowledge of Field Instrumentation, and control valves and drives.
  • In depth knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC hardware and software.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of CCGT process and operational issues.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of industrial scale DCS or SCADA systems.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows server architecture.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of industrial scale communication networks.
  • An engineering qualification to the minimum level of HND or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline.

  • Solid broad based experience in project engineering and project management.
  • Self-motivated, accustomed to being in positions of responsibility and accountability with good planning and communication skills.

Education

  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering leading to Chartered Engineer status.
  • Qualifications in Safety Management, Project Management, Emergency Management or Quality Management desirable.

Experience:

  • 10 years’ experience in Oil, Gas and power plant Facilities;
  • Front-end engineering, engineering design, procurement and construction;
  • Project management systems, quality and technical assurance systems, change management, waiver/query management.
  • Solid broad based project experience in all project phases. but especially within Define and Execute phases on Oil & Gas.
  • Fully conversant in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, Project, etc.).
  • Familiar with Proprietary software packages for Interface Management (eg.CoreWorx, PIMS, PMCS etc)

 

Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Nigeria

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Understanding of engineering design and engineering practices on a modern Power Station.
  • Good leadership qualities and skills.
  • Good management skills.
  • Sufficient knowledge of local employment agreements to manage the Operations Department personnel
  • DCS knowledge and understanding.

Education

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering leading to Chartered Engineer status. This degree preferable aligned to power generation.
  • Qualifications in Safety Management. Project Management. Emergency Management or Quality Management desirable.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience working in power generation operations.
  • Five years’ experience at a higher management level.
  • Preferably 5 years’ experience of GT plants.
  • Experience of working in Power Station in foreign countries preferred.
  • Substantial experience of working in Power Stations, preferably CCGT or CCPP.
  • A complete understanding of the environmental controls and reporting aspects of a modem CCPP.
  • A thorough understanding of all chemical usage and storage techniques required on a modern CCPP.
  • Experience in the erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Station.
  • Experience of modem safety management techniques.

 

Job Title: Power Train Specialist

  • HSE training minimum IOSH standard.
  • Detailed understanding of engineering design and engineering practices used in a modern Power Station.
  • Substantial knowledge of the operation and maintenance aspects of a CCPP/CCGT.
  • A detailed knowledge of the legislation associated with operation of Power Stations.
  • The ability to produce and manage a budget.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the local employment agreements, employment financing, budgeting to manage a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic workforce.
  • Good leadership qualities and skills. An acknowledged negotiating ability.
  • Good management skills.
  • A complete understanding of contracts and their implementation within an IPP environment.
  • A detailed knowledge of the Power Station safety and health requirements.
  • The ability to speak and write in English to a technical standard.
  • Ability to manage issues that affect the local communities.

Education

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree leading to Chartered Engineer status.
  • Preferably postgraduate business qualification.
  • Higher National Certificate (according to British. standards) will be suitable if accompanied by the relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Acknowledged management skills with at least 15 years’ experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience in power generation operations.
  • Five years’ experience at a higher management level.
  • Preferably 5 years’ experience of GT plants.
