We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resources Officer

Location: Abuja

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct local staff recruitment
  • Conduct orientation for new employees
  • Develop and implement a systematic/annual employee performance evaluation program
  • Assist AF Nigeria managers in counselling under-performing staff
  • Process terminations in accordance with AF exit policies
  • Review, update and refine Axios HR policy manual and local annexes on a periodic basis
  • Administer staff benefit programs such as Group Life & Medical Insurance and serve as resource person for staff benefit questions
  • Support Finance on the monthly submission of staff time sheets and update required files to support payroll preparation
  • Prepare transfer letters and visa letters as necessary
  • Respond to employment verification requests
  • Coordinate temporary employee staffing
  • Manage employee database related to new hire, change of status & performance evaluation
  • Develop employee training programs
  • Identify HR issues and provide necessary support as required
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Must have a Degree in HR related filed such as Business Administration or any Social Sciences
  • At least 3 years experience as a HR Generalist
  • Work experience with NGO is an added advantage
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and work independently
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills Fluency in oral and written English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Capacity to take initiative and to work in teams
  • Self-driven with high sense of quality, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Commitment to working effectively and resolving problems with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information.
Job Title: Laboratory Coordinator

Location: Lagos

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate coordination with National Integrated specimen Referral Network (NISRN) state and IP level structures (State NISRN Focal Person, IP Lab Technical Directors, and Testing Lab Directors)
  • Ensure smooth implementation and ensure that any issues related to specimen transport logistics are logged and addressed, in line with technical direction and oversight provided by GHSC-PSM.
  • Responsible for documenting implementation challenges experienced by 3PLs, Health Facilities and/or State Health Officials
  • Provide recommendations to address any implementation challenges observed
  • Work with Implementing Partners (IPs) in each region to ensure the successful implementation and operationalization of the NISRN strategy based on the guidance provided
  • Responsible for documenting records of rejected specimen with reasons for rejecting the samples
  • Conduct spot check on the specimen pickup/drop off process from supported PCR and Referring facilities
  • Attend and take minutes/attendance at stakeholder’s meetings
  • Develop and maintain excel data base for NISRN in the State
  • Participate in the activities of the State Logistics Management Coordination Unit (LMCU)
  • Provide technical support and coordination to the Referring Health Facilities, PCR Laboratories and NISRN State and IP level structures.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Holder of Microbiology Degree with experience in health commodities logistics can also apply
  • Master in Public Health would be an added advantage.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience. Registered with MLSCN
  • Knowledge of packaging, handling and transportation of temperature sensitive and biological products
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
  • Knowledge of Laboratory Commodity Logistics or Health Commodity Logistics
  • Capacity to support health systems strengthening
  • Intermediate/Advanced Computer Skills to include the use of MS Office packages and Inventory Management Software
  • Ability to multi task, set priorities and work independently
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in written and oral English.
