Job Title: General Manager Operations

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The General Manager (Operations) will head and lead the operations department of the company, and will report directly to the Managing Director of the company in discharging the following functions:

Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities

  • In the exercise of his managerial and supervisory responsibilities, the General Manager (Operations) will support the managing director to:
  • Contribute strategic direction and leadership in line with the corporate business plan and strategy for operations department;
  • implement business strategic decisions as relate to operations department;
  • implement strategic plans that reflect the longterm objectives and priorities as delegated by the managing director;
  • maintain, control and appraise the operations department performance against budget and plans;
  • monitor the operating and financial results against plans and budgets;
  • take full responsibility in the implementation of the company’s operations department decisions and review with the managing director;
  • foster a conducive corporate culture that promotes strong ethical practices, good corporate governance and employee productivity.

Operational Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • The General Manager (Operations) will carry out the following and other operational duties as may be assigned to him by the managing director:
  • Oversee the activities of staff of the operations department;
  • Ensure effective mobilization, control and utilization of departmental resources;
  • Ensure continuous improvement in the quality and value of services provided to clients and other stake holders.
  • Conduct risk assessment and manage the department’s strategic decisions to mitigate failures;
  • Negotiate, develop and maintain contractual arrangements with key clients and suppliers to deliver best value and service levels;
  • Maintain and sustain the company’s quality, health and safety standards, training and meetings in line with company policies and procedures;
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the managing director informed of all critical issues, and operational risks with solutions;
  • Stakeholder management – build strong relationships and contacts with clients, potential clients, key policy influencers, allied professional bodies, to help secure ongoing projects for the company;
  • Attend senior management weekly and monthly review meetings to present and defend operations department’s reports and execute decisions arising from the meetings;
  • respond to operations inquiries as may be delegated by the managing director;

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 years of continuous working experience with at least 7 years spent in senior management and corporate leadership, especially in the oil & gas servicing industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following areas: Engineering, Geology, Physical Sciences, Business, Social Sciences, and Humanities and Arts, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as MBA, MSc and relevant certifications are an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to travel as this position is based in Lagos, Nigeria with requirement to travel across the country.

Job Title: Site Lifting Specialist

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • Support of all lifting operations

Responsilities

  • Continually liaise with the CPLO to ensure that lifting and handling standards are consistently respected.
  • Ensures that all applicable Company Rules and Lifting Procedures (Lifting Management System) regarding handling & lifting operations are well understood and applied by all personnel involved in lifting operations.
  • Advices on issues pertaining to lifting and handling operations,
  • Constantly liaise with Contract Site Rep in order to ensure that their lifting equipment and operations are in congruence with lifting and handling procedure
  • Carry out periodic lifting audits in all supply vessels
  • Carryout a yearly assessments of all dedicated lifting equipment
  • Develop a rigging loft procedure and ensure that the rigging loft is properly and adequately controlled
  • Work in conjunction with the contractors lifting team on site to ensure that lifting equipment and lifting standards are respected in the day to day operations.
  • Review Lifting Operations Plans for all critical lifting or handling operations on Site
  • Provides expertise in day to day handling and lifting activities on site, which include: categorizing lifts, hazard identifications and risk assessment, technical review (lifting procedures and organizations),
  • Assists the CPLO during assessment of personnel competence to carry out lifting of handling operations.
  • Performs technical inspection and evaluation of cranes and selects lifting equipment proposed for use on sites
  • Prepare generic lift plans and carry out its periodic reviews.
  • Develops a Site lifting and handling procedures / instructions and ensure its periodic review.
  • Coach and mentor personnel involved in lifting and handling operations (crane operators & riggers, etc.)

Job Requirements

  • Technical Engineering degree
  • 3 years verifiable experience in lifting and handling operations
  • Possession of LEEA/NSL OR OPITO Accredited Training on Rigging and Lifting
  • Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of all types of lifting equipments and operations within affiliate.
  • Ability to prepare or review lifting engineering calculations and risk assessments.
  • Fluent English
  • Experience with multi cultural teams
  • Ability to work in stressful environment.

Job Title: HVAC Maintenance Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Descriptions

  • Assist Head, Electrical Support for the updating of the Maintenance Plans, may involve procedures drafting, drawings issuance, studies performance, spare parts identification reviews, tools reviews, documentation filing, binding or data capture in computerized systems.
  • Supports the FPSO operational teams as requested in areas of own speciality, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programmes, and providing associated logistic support. As instructed, develops maintenance methods tools in own area of competence, analyses the works and practices, and suggests ways of optimization.
  • Performs technical studies in his field of competence as instructed in view of improving performance or upgrading the facilities.
  • Follows-up the technical problems raised, follows-up the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follows up the warranty claims and the implementation of the corrective actions.
  • Performs equipment performance analysis; develop and put in place enhanced condition monitoring programmes
  • Follows-up the day to day activities of the offshore teams; remains available to provide them the assistance and support as needed.
  • Pays regular visits to the offshore site and participates to the Services as required; may be involved in operational works including major shutdowns. May be incorporated into maintenance working shifts as the case may be, as required during major operations.
  • Provides assistance and logistic support as required for the provision of resources: vendors, additional manpower, services, tools, spare parts, consumables and other materials. Coordinates the transfer offshore of these resources.
  • Coordinates as required the repairs required to be subcontracted outside.
  • Attends materials repairs or inspection in the LADOL or in Contractors facilities.
  • Coordinates, according to the instructions received from hierarchy, his activities with the MTMC (Maintenance and Technical Methods Contractor) method and planning engineers based in Lagos.
  • Follows-up into Unisup, the computerised maintenance management system, the registration of the works, of the consumed materials, of the services, and so on.
  • Follows-up the spare parts and consumables consumption, report anomalies and initiate suitable action in order to prevent shortage.
  • Reviews the requests for materials, defines the technical specifications for purchase.
  • Supervises receipt of materials on a technical point of view. Visit the LADOL warehouse as required.
  • Controls the condition of materials in warehouses, take action for improvement as needed.
  • Maintains and updates the technical documentation
  • Performs periodic and ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Co-ordinate these actions with concerned staff, from both offshore and onshore sites. As well for AKPO as for EGINA
  • For equipment beyond repair (economical and technical), propose replacement strategy and budget. Closely co ordinate the decision making for the new equipment, prepare Service scope, required resources. Execute and close out the replacement Service.
  • Issue Return of Experience (REX) document for critical and unique modifications / problems or challenges faced.

Job Requirements
Accountabilities:

  • Within the framework of Deep Water (AKPO & EGINA) DW Operations, the main objectives are, in the field of HVAC , to:
  • Assist Head, Electrical Support for the updating of the Maintenance Plans including dedicated procedures, spare parts coverage, tools selection and other technical aspects, in accordance with the Maintenance Policy.
  • Provide assistance for mobilisation and coordination of external resources (vendors, contractors, means and equipment) to support the offshore staff in view of ensuring equipment integrity.
  • Provide technical assistance at site, or in contractor workshops for maintenance interventions preparation (including major shutdown or overhaul works), maintenance works follow-up, works supervision, material receipt, or specific investigations, studies, equipment condition monitoring, etc.

Qualifications /Experiences Required

  • Engineer University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Additional study in HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge in : HVAC systems – Technology, engineering, maintenance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as HVAC Engineer.
