We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Internal Control Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Description
- Ability to manage projects when required, supervise and ensure sound internal control practices.
- Review of the statutory returns to regulatory authorities and government agencies to ensure accuracy and timely rendition.
- Administration of audit committee meeting.
- Take over customers’ deposit misappropriation cases.
- Second level call over of daily transactions.
- Reconciliation of correspondent bank accounts to ensure transactions are not outstanding beyond 2 weeks and bringing the exercise up to date.
Job Requirements
- BSc/HND Degree in Accounting and Economics preferably in business or finance.
- Excellent knowledge of banking/financial business operations and risk-based auditing attained in a supervising capacity through 3 to 5 years of progressive work experience with a focus on financial risk and regulatory requirements.
- Good knowledge of any banking software will be an advantage.
