Job Title: Radiograhpher

Location: Benin, Edo State

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for handling all diagnostic level x-radiation, imaging equipments and its associated instrumentation in the production of medical images of the human body and in the performance of radiologic procedures such as using radiation in the form of x-rays, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound to assess, diagnose and treat patients for a variety of injuries and diseases.

Key Result Areas (KRA)

  • Responsible for the proper positioning of patients into the beam of the radiation source and adjusting the proper exposure techniques for the optimum film resolution with the least radiation exposure to the patient in line with the ALARA principles to get the most accurate images.
  • Responsible for placing proper immobilization devices and protective shielding on patients.
  • Responsible for the calculation of the length and time of exposure for the diagnosis or treatment of the affected area.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images using the appropriate medical imaging modality and distinguish acceptable radiographs for the radiologist to interprete and asses.
  • To perform a wide range of specialized radiographic procedures such as ultrasound, computed tomography and MRI procedures across a variety of complex clinical presentations and pathologies according to required standard.
  • To operate a variety of Information technology systems to a high level, including the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) and ensure that all data inputs are accurately recorded in order to maintain the integrity of data for both patients and the service.
  • Process images and maintain proper inventory of supplies.
  • Accurately schedule patient’s appointment with the radiologist.
  • Manage patient’s records.

The Person

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc) in Imaging Science/Radiography.
  • 2 to 3 years post NYSC relevant work experience in radiography or medical imaging.
  • Registration with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Possess high degree of accuracy and attention to details

 

Job Title: Junior Registrar (Family Medicine)

Location: Warri, Delta State.

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for diagnosing, treating and providing preventive health care services to patients in the general population.
  • The job holder may refer patients to sub-specialists when the need further diagnosis or treatment arises.

 Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:

  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. This can be face to face, group lectures or through the mass media.
  • To see patients in the out-patient clinic (OPD) every day irrespective of the training rotation.
  • Execute minor surgical procedures on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
  • Plan, implement, or administer health programs or standards in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illness.
  • To provide quality medical care to patients under the supervision of the HOD, Family Medicine.
  • Adhering to professional and service code of conduct and ethics;
  • To spare head postgraduate seminar presentations, grand rounds, morbidity meeting.
  • Must participate in clinical audit and quality programs as appropriate.
  • To teach interns, nurses and medical officers as appropriate.

Administrative Functions:

  • Manage the administrative requirements of the hospital and patient care including planning and draft budgeting for unit and OPCO divisional for activities in the hospital.
  • Be aware of and adhere to all Lily Hospital policies and procedure in reference to clinical practice.

The Person

  • The job holder must have a license to practice medicine from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.
  • He or She must have the primaries qualification in Family Medicine.
  • Knowledge of Families Medicine and other areas of medical practice such as Pediatrics & Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and so on.
  • The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self discipline and excellent long term concentration.

 

Job Title: Store Keeper/Store Officer (Male)

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Summary

  • The store keeper or Store Officer under the Central Store are attached to pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables in stocking of the items under their custody and disbursement to user departments in the organization.

Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:

  • Stocking, Disbursing and Requisition of Pharmaceutical Drugs, Laboratory Reagents/Vaccines, Medical Consumables
  • Receiving Items (Pharmacy items, Laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables)
  • Proper documentation of incoming goods receipts and issuance to user departments.
  • Making Requisition of pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables items that has gotten to re-order levels to avoid stock outs.
  • Good inventory control management
  • Ensure proper storage and preservation of goods
  • Organize and Disburse pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables
  • Ensure proper documentation of all goods receipts and invoiced both on goods received note {GRN}, INSTA and PMS.
  • Accurate updates of Bin Cards
  • Adherence to re-order levels and re-order quantities of pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables.
  • Any other responsibility that may be assigned.

The Person

  • Minimum academic qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in pharmacy tech, laboratory tech or OND from reputable College of Health Technology or Polytechnic
  • 1- 3 years relevant work experience
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.
