Job Title: Welding & NDT Supervisor (M/F)

Job Description

  • To monitor cutting, forming, welding, post welding and NDT activities by Contractor and ensure that activities are fully compliant with Project requirements, specifications, codes, drawings, etc.
  • To ensure that welding & NDT record books are properly documented and maintained by Contractor.
  • To be aware of the Project specifications and ensure Contractor compliance in relation with Piping & Structure Supervisor.
  • To perform all Company quality inspections relating to welding & NDT.
  • To promote application of COMPANY policies, rules, procedures, General Specifications and Project procedures.
  • To identify any non-conformance with Project requirements, report to QA/QC Lead and follow-up remedial action by Contractor.
  • To ensure that approved modifications are implemented and documented for as-built documentation.
  • To be proactive in anticipating events or Contractor’s problems which may affect the successful completion of the Project objectives and inform QA/QC Lead and Head IKD.
  • To assist with making of progress records and other key performance indicators
  • To produce accurate activity report to QA/QC Lead.
  • To attend Project meetings as and when required.
  • To carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the hierarchy.

Profile

  • Qualification: B.Sc. metallurgy or mechanical engineering
  • Professional experience: More than 10 years solid working experience in welding & NDT jobs in Oil & Gas
  • Experience with structure & piping, welding & NDT works: 5 years
  • Conversant with relevant ASME, AWS and API codes
  • NDT qualification certified by recognized international body: Minimum Level II in VT,MT, PT, UT and RT (EN473)
  • Proven leadership capabilities with strong organizational and coordination abilities
  • Autonomous, self-motivating and active team player
  • Oral and written fluency in English mandatory, working knowledge of French appreciated

Construction/Precommisioning activities:

  • To check the engineering documents prepared by the contractor – in his discipline – and to give timely comments on and/or approval of, in accordance with contract procedures and requirements. To check the incorporation of such comments by the contractor.
  • To check the progress of the work performed by the contractor.
  • To participate in technical reviews as requested by his management.
  • To ensure that all risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor. Control of the contractor during hook-up/precommisioning activities
  • To ensure that the quality of the E&I erection work performed by contractor and sub-contractors complies with contract requirements

Profile

  • Experienced supervisor with a high technical level in his specialization, with minimum7 years working experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with good experience in engineering designs and execution at construction phase, in the context of large international projects.

Job Title: QA/QC Leader (M/F)

Job Description

  • Lead review of Contractor / Subcontractors issued quality documentations including Project Quality Plan for the Package.
  • Review Contractor / Subcontractor issued Work Procedures for quality aspects.
  • Follow up and ensure implementation of approved Project Quality Plan and achievement of Quality objectives on the project activities.
  • Provide leadership, expert direction, and guidance to the team on quality matters to ensure achievement of quality requirement on the project activities.
  • Monitor to ensure adequate quantity and qualification / certification of Contractor / Subcontractors’ QA/QC resources deployed on the project and urgently address any shortfall.
  • Carry out reviews of Contractor Quality Control / Inspection Test Plan, Operatives Procedures and Test Documents.
  • Verify that the criticality rating of equipment is determined prior to award of any Subcontract or Purchase Order, and review on a regular basis taking into account the capability of and the performance of the Vendor’s.
  • Develop a Surveillance Program and specific assessment and verification check sheet according to the specific criticality
  • Implement QC Surveillance to verify Contractor or Vendor Inspection and Test Activities compliance with QC Plan requirements, standards and specifications.
  • Provide status reports to hierarchy on Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) Corrective Actions including Notes/Findings from any Verification Activities (procedures review, shop visits, etc.)
  • Ensure Suppliers are working to the approved Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plan.
  • Monitor the development and implementation of Contractor Quality Control documents.
  • Review and approve the Contractor’s audit schedule.
  • Witness the Quality Audits performed by the Contractor on their Sub-Contractors, Vendors and Suppliers.
  • Ensure that identified Corrective Actions are implemented by the Contractor or Vendor
  • Review the Contractor’s Purchase Orders and verify the associated QA requirements
  • Follow and expedite the remedial actions and root cause analysis from Quality Audit Findings.
  • Co-ordinate and report surveillance activities on Contractor / Subcontractors’ works.
  • Ensure to treat Quality Records in due time and file according to approved procedure.
  • Interface with the Certifying Authority for Supplier Inspection activities and liaise with Third Party Authority at the required witness points during project execution in order to meet quality requirements.
  • Perform ad –hoc assessments or Audits on the contractor or potential Supplier’s, when required.
  • Apply good knowledge of API, NACE, ASTM and TOTAL’s General Specifications in the discharge of his duties.
  • Apply good knowledge of Metallurgy, Welding, Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing in the discharge of his duties.

Profile

  • Graduate Bachelor Degree (BSc) or HND in an Engineering discipline relevant to Oil and Gas engineering and construction activities.
  • Possession of recognized Quality Assurance or Quality Management qualification(s) and a formal training in ISO 9001:2000 Standard.
  • A minimum of 10 years working experience in Oil and Gas Engineering and Construction activities; 7 years of which must have been Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities at senior level.
  • Good knowledge of metallurgy, welding engineering, NDT techniques and relevant codes: API, ASTM, ASME, etc., used in OLT Buoy design and construction. Previous experience and knowledge of TOTAL general specifications is an advantage.
  • Administrative skills including proficiency in typical office applications (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company. In addition, the candidate must possess very good planning, presentation, negotiations and organizational skills.

Job Descriptions

  • Follow up and supervise the electrical and instrumentation works at the Worksite to ensure compliance with applicable design specification, drawings and contract requirements.
  • Liaise with IKIKE Engineering Team on any electrical and instrumentation engineering issues for resolution or clarification of contract / design requirements and specification as may be required.
  • Review and comment as required on project documents: Method Statements, Work Procedure and any other Contractor / Subcontractor deliverables in due time as may be required.
  • Review and analyse work planning and schedule updates for the discipline’s project activities, in coordination with the COMPANY Project Control team, in order to ensure effective work planning, optimise and avoid clashes in work sequences.
  • Monitor the expected versus achieved works progress, focusing on potentials for delay and adequacy of resources; and proactively highlight any schedule issues, and promptly propose resolutions, in order to avoid blocking points on the works.
  • Follow up to ensure that site modifications are requested, approved, implemented and properly documented for as-built in accordance with approved project procedures.
  • Performance surveillance on electrical and instrumentation works at the Worksite, ensuring issue of Non Conformance Reports (NCR) for any observed non-conformance and follow up for NCR timely closure.
  • Participate as required at inspections, audits, etc., on behalf of Company,
  • Ensure that clarifications, derogations, technical queries, etc., regarding electrical and instrumentation design of the buoy are properly treated in line with Company specifications and procedure, providing timely responses to the contractor/subcontractor and vendors.

  • Lead review of Contractor / Subcontractors’ HSE Plan.

  • Ensure that Contractor / Subcontractors adhere to HSE requirements in the execution of the project activities.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and supports to the team on HSE matters, including clarification of HSE specifications, requirements and mitigation measures.
  • Focal point on the Packages on HSE matters for resolution of all HSE queries and issues.
  • Initiate and coordinate all Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis and other HSE related studies and workshops, ensuring proper documentation, creation of awareness, and implementation of recommendations.
  • Review Work Procedure to ensure HSE aspects are adequately considered and the works process are safe with necessary incorporation of necessary safety measures.
  • Ensure implementation of the incident / accident management system (incident reporting, investigation, analysis, recommendations.
  • Follow up development of HSE improvement and action plans, and drive / monitor implementation of such plans.

  • Establish weekly and monthly HSE reporting for the Packages distinctly, and ensure continuous and proper recording and issue of HSE statistics for input to IKIKE overall HSE statistics.
  • Monitor and ensure that Contractor / Subcontractors HSE reporting is according to requirements and are issued timely.
  • Continuously monitors the level of HSE training of COMPANY, Contractor and Subcontractors’ personnel employed for the works and ensures medical fitness compliance at all time.
  • Participate at definition and development of HSE trainings for project personnel, and drive personnel attendance of such trainings including compliance to attendance of mandatory HSE courses.
  • Drive HSE meetings, safety talks, safety trainings, etc., at all work locations on the Packages.
  • Communicate HSE information to entire workforce: safety alerts, lesson learned, safety tips, etc., accordingly.

  • Assess and enforce HSE preventive measures and methods provided at work locations during construction phase.

Job Title: Project Control Leader (M/F)

Job Descriptions

  • Contracting Activities: To assist in the implementation the contracting strategy for the project in compliance with TOTAL E&P obligations and procedures (call for tender, commercial bid analysis, contract preparation, contract management and administration until close-out).
  • Documentation & Reporting: To elaborate the specifications to be used by all contractors in order to transfer the final technical project documentation to Operations at project close-out; to implement, in collaboration with DCC Leader, the PRODOM data base, recommended by PJC; to prepare and issue monthly project reports, PJC half-year reports and PJC quarterly reports, ensuring appropriate content and quality of information.
  • Scheduling: To elaborate the package Schedule/ planning and consolidate the overall progress through identification/follow-up of the critical path and analysis of main deviations incurred during the execution of the project; to review identified deviations and propose accurate measures or adapted corrections.
  • Working Procedures: To define working procedures, with reference to the Project Execution Plan (PEP), to cover the coordination and control of project services duties.
  • Cost Control: To supervise constantly, in close coordination with the Finance/Budget Leader, cost control activities, follow-up of budgetary stages and internal/external Project Annual Costs (initial, revised, closure); to implement and optimise constructive implication from concerned packages, alerting relevant managers if necessary.
  • Assist the Package Managers at all project phases with reporting, meetings organisation and attendance with tenderers and/or local authorities, project schedule follow-up. Also ensuring of all project technical and contractual correspondences are duly answered.
  • Monitoring at all stages of the project development the Nigerian content plan / requirements are well followed. Will be accountable for duly reporting of Nigerian content for the CC and SURF packages.
  • Consolidate and advise Package Managers of any schedule & commercial issues arising from changes providing the justification through all disciplines of the change. Ensure complete documentation of all changes, and communication of these in compliance with the Total process and the processes agreed with Partners and regulatory authorities.

Profile

  • The candidate will be graduated with an MSc in Engineering or Law; certified copy of diploma with grade shall be provided; ideally the candidate will be also a chartered Engineer (such as C.Eng MICE); his education will have been complemented by professional trainings during his past professional experience. Pending professional experience candidate with a Bachelors Degree (BSc.) in Engineering will be also given consideration for the position.
  • The candidate will have minimum 10 years experience in the industry (although preferably with practice of Oil & Gas industry for offshore works) as contract/planning engineer with responsibilities including small team management; will also have knowledge of TOTAL and international contracting principles, practice codes / standards. Excellent English verbal and in written skills are requested.
