Job Title: Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • The candidates must have sufficient capacity, experience, and relevant track records to deliver tangible and measurable results as well as to provide full financial and management accounting services to the Management, especially, MD/CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Book Keeping
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information
  • Development and continuous successful update of a complete Fixed Asset Register;
  • Account reconciliation with clients and expense/budget comparative analytics;
  • Assist in payroll preparation and perform general ledger reconciliation of balance sheet items, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Responsible for State and Federal Tax matters- PAYE, VAT, CIT AND WHT Assessments,
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank and daily provision of bank position
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills;
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant post-graduate work experience;
  • Good writing, oral and presentation skills;
  • Strategic thinking/ Business acumen;
  • Financial literacy and Strong analytical skills;
  • Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA).

Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • The candidates must have sufficient capacity, experience, and relevant track records to deliver tangible and measurable results as well as to provide full financial and management accounting services to the Management, especially, MD/CEO.

Experience & Skills

  • A minimum of First Degree in any Management Science/Social Science related discipline preferably in Accounting, Economics/Finance.
  • Minimum of 10 years post-graduate work experience with a minimum of 3 years in a Financial controller position.
  • Professional qualification: A minimum of ACA/ACCA is compulsory while other qualifications such as ACS, ACTI, CFA will be added advantage.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place to guide management decision-making, particularly in the areas of asset and liability management.
  • Establish comprehensive operational guidelines & workflows covering all business transactions and processes.
  • Maintain contacts and liaise with bankers, auditors, regulatory authorities (SEC, NSE, PFAs, and etc.), tax authorities (Federal & State) to ensure compliance and long-term financial security and stability.
  • Participate in meetings of departmental heads as necessary and work closely with all departmental heads/management team, advising them on likely financial consequences of all proposed courses of action.
  • Be prepared to act as a member of the project management team as necessary.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial records and data input.
  • Ensure production of accurate monthly and quarterly performance reports and management accounts.
  • Ensure financial and other reporting systems are maintained in accordance with company’s accounting policies and relevant standards required by regulatory bodies, management and external auditors.
