Job Title: 
SPS Structures & Hardware Lead

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Manage the Company Project team dedicated to the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems element of the Project to ensure the technical, budget and schedule objectives are met and that the responsibilities of the job description are discharged.
  • Review and ratify the Design Proposals from the Alliances (Design proposals include Basis of Design, Flow Diagrams, Specifications, Procedures, Calculation Notes, & MTOs).
  • Ensure that Design proposals from the Alliances meet the requirements and expectations of the various Exhibits in the FEED Contract.
  • Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to SPS Engineering Manager on any deviation.
  • Facilitate approval from Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems related documentation, consolidating comments from within SPS Team and form other Company Packages leading up to their final approval.
  • Participate in the engineering review of other packages design documents which have an interface to the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment
  • Evaluate the workload of Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems Package and identify, as necessary, additional resources or the means required to meet Contract objectives to the SPS Engineering Manager.
  • Liaise with Company Specialists within the various Technical departments in HQ to ensure Design proposals from the Alliances meet the requirements of the Company specifications.
  • Actively follow-up the respective Alliances actual progress against all planned engineering activities required for completion of the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment. Ensure that the Alliances are focused on meeting their commitments.
  • Initiate and manage weekly progress meetings with the various Alliances, and provide weekly and monthly reports to SPS Engineering Manager.
  • Review and manage the resources and organization of the Alliances, identifying that they are adequate (and competent) for achieving the discipline works.
  • Manage the interface with other disciplines in the Project to ensure cross-package and inter-contract compliance. Ensure that any cost and / or schedule changes to agreed designs emanating from or impacting the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems equipment are identified. Highlight such changes, providing assistance to quantify the cost and schedule impact to the SPS Engineering Manager.
  • Expedite the timely disposition of Deviations/ Derogation requests as they effect the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.
  • Participate in/organize any technical or co-ordination meeting necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the Lessons Learned to be developed for the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the Close-out Report for the Subsea Structures & Tie-in Systems.

Accountabilities:

  • Reports to the SPS Engineering Manager
  • Accountable for subsea structures & hardware engineering coordination with Alliances in a timely manner
  • Coordinates company engineers for structures & tie-in systems and manages interface with other packages across the Preowei project

Necessary Profile

  • Education: First Degree in relevant Engineering discipline. Master’s Degree or an equivalent is an advantage
  • Qualification: 10+ years’ experience in the Engineering of Subsea Manifolds, FLETs, ILTs, Subsea Jumpers and Connection Systems, and SUTs.
  • To have experience in the application of industry standards and codes related to subsea hardware and systems such as API 6A & 17D, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API RP-17P, API RP-17R, API RP-2A, as well as ISO,equivalent standards.
  • To have knowledge of the main Subsea hardware suppliers’ engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Previous experience of Company / Operator Representation during similar type project execution is a distinct advantage
  • Mobility: placement is primarily in Lagos, Nigeria with the potential for international trips. Presence will be required at Manifold fabrication site during construction phase.
  • Language: Fluency in English language.

Job Title: SPS XTree / IWOCS Lead

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Provide specialist technical support and engineering lead to the Wellhead/XT & IWOCS Engineers to ensure compliance of package designs, test regimes and documentation within contract basis of design during FEED and subsequent EPCI phases of the project
  • Provide technical support the SPS/Drilling interface engineering scope of work ensuring that designs are in alignment with rig specific requirements
  • Technical lead for all documents relating to wellheads, XT & IWOCS consolidating all comments from other reviewers within project time periods
  • Manage (initiate, coordinate and resolve) in cooperation with SURF interface lead; all interfaces arising from the design of the wellheads, Xmas Trees, Tubing hangers and IWOCS (mechanical, electrical, control and monitoring interfaces)
  • Report engineering and/or fabrication progress formally through weekly and monthly reports to the SPS Engineering Manager, highlighting critical problems and identifying potential schedule and cost impacts. Jointly agree recovery measures and ensure technical implementation by the contractor
  • Maintain tracking logs for engineering actions generated during regular technical clarification meetings related to wellhead/XT and IWOCS Systems and ensuring that open actions are closed in a timely manner
  • Technical review of the gap analysis and support towards disposition for resolution/ closure of any deviations or derogations towards TOTAL’s referential from Alliances during the FEED and EPCI stages of the project
  • Liaise with other disciplines and packages to ensure cross package conformity of designs
  • Delegate package work scope to the wellhead/XT & IWOCS/SPS-Drilling interface Engineers as required
  • Mentor wellhead/XT & IWOCS/SPS-Drilling interface Engineers by ensuring performance targets are established and monitored
  • Capture & compile list of lessons learned/ feedback for the wellhead/XT/IWOCS systems on a regular basis throughout FEED and during EPCI phase of the project which could eventually lead to REX systems

  • Timely execution of the FEED within 6 months is key which will involve rigorous evaluation of all alliances
  • leading up the technical award of contract to the execution phase when the appropriate alliance is selected
  • Technical disposition with close liaison with HQ on all deviations/derogations from TOTAL’s General
  • Specifications/Referential related to design of wellhead/XT/IWOCS Systems
  • The SPS XTree / IWOCS Lead Engineer will report to the SPS Engineering Manager

Necessary Profile

  • Expertise: FEED & Detailed engineering experience in Xtree, Wellhead and IWOCS systems with operational
  • experience in Deepwater offshore environment,

Job Title: Subsea Hardware Structures Engineer

Job Description

  • Must have knowledge of the Connection Systems (Hubs and Connectors) engineering and manufacturing processes of the major Subsea Hardware Suppliers
  • Experience in the Engineering of Thermo Plastic Pipes (TCP) will be an added advantage

Job Title: Xtree / Wellheads Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Organize regular meetings with Subsea Wellhead & XT systems Engineers to ensure FEED engineering progress and close out with all contractor alliance companies.
  • Comment on all Xmas Tree/Wellhead Systems related documentation within Prodom in accordance with the Contract and Work Time Schedule ensuring consistency with COMPANY’s Specifications and requirements.
  • Act as Leader for specific documents, as agreed with Tree and Wellheads Lead and dependent upon area of individual specialisation, consolidating comments from other reviewers.
  • Provide technical support to SPS / Drilling and Completion Interface Engineer for review of Xmas Tree /Wellhead System interfaces.
  • Liaise with other disciplines and Packages to ensure cross-package conformity of designs
  • Liaise with COMPANY specialists within technical departments to ensure conformance proposed designs with, or for approval to derogate from, COMPANY specifications.
  • Participate in relevant technical workshops, resolution of interface design issues with packages and existing systems on Egina and related qualification activities.
  • Identify and manage risk associated with FEED engineering activities.
  • Participate in relevant technical workshops and in resolution of interface design issues between Preowei subsea technical teams, project packages and Egina field operations.
  • To coordinate the Engineering activities during the FEED phase, in conformity with TOTAL specifications and HSE rules, and within the agreed budget, schedule and the SOR.
  • Reports to and Assist the Lead engineer Xtree & wellheads/IWOCS in the coordination of all transverse activities.
  • Responsible for all the activities related to the FEED studies for Xtree/Wellheads systems, i.e. to organise, manage, follow-up and control all the engineering deliverable
  • Ensure that all engineering deliverable are timely issued and fit for purpose. He shall also ensure that engineering interfaces with other concerned packages are dully dealt with and managed.
  • Responsible for validating the equipment qualification status (procedure / programme / report) and shall remain, during the FEED studies, the correspondent for any engineering problem occurring, for any advice to be given or technical deviation request to be analysed and answered.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Xtree/wellheads will be fit for purpose, operable, maintainable and reliable – within the agreed budget and schedule for completion.
  • May participate to the development of Project Management main documents (FDP, PEP, PQP, Risks, etc.) for URF/SPS matters.
  • Work closely with other COMPANY team members and contractor alliance counterparts to ensure correct information is transmitted and fully aligned.
  • Report progress of Subsea Wellhead & XT system engineering activities to IWOCS/XT Lead Engineer.
  • Maintain a good and respectful working attitude and good team spirit

HSE:

  • Comply with security rules when in NIGERIA, sites or contractor’s premises outside of NIGERIA.
  • Comply with site security, health and safety instructions and to stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
  • Comply with all required COMPANY HSE requirements e.g. training, PPE, site inductions etc.
  • Report any issue/anomalies (using system in place in the facility) and to make use of TOTAL STOP WORK policy as necessary.
