Job Title: Electrical Assembler (Panel)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Assemble assigned products using detailed instructions such as; standard manufacturing procedures, specifications. Perform inspections, stuffing and other mechanical procedures and equipment. Operate equipment to assemble and install product to specifications and maintains quality parameters on equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings to determine materials required for control panel and/or electrical equipment assembly on a daily basis.
  • Locate positions for all electrical apparatus, including brackets, cables, switches and wiring per the engineering schematics and mark their location on control panels and/or electrical equipment daily.
  • Use marks as a guide and drill or tap holes per quality control standards for electrical apparatus on control panels and/or electrical equipment daily.
  • Plan, lay out, assemble, wire and solder complete electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment and apparatus.
  • Fabricate electrical apparatus per specifications and quality control standards using calipers, cutters, drills or saws daily.
  • Understand the function of and use a broad range of electrical/electronic/mechanical parts and components such as brackets, solder, wire, resistors, diodes, capacitors, relays, transformers, coils, switches, PC boards, etc…
  • Follow assembly procedures to determine correct parts and proper assembly methods.
  • Verify standards are correct and product meets required specifications according to blueprints or process instructions.
  • Position, align and adjust work piece and electrical parts to facilitate assembly.
  • Install wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or sub-assemblies.
  • Assemble electrical component, systems and support structures to specifications.
  • Assemble electrical external parts such as covers, control panels etc…
  • Secure batteries and the cables (terminals).
  • Mount fabricated electrical apparatus to the control panels and/or equipment per specifications and quality control standards daily.
  • Test control panels and/or equipment upon completion to ensure they are fully functional daily.
  • Troubleshoot control panels and/or equipment if not operating as per engineering schematics daily.
  • Make necessary adjustments to electronic apparatus and test equipment again to ensure the issue has been repaired daily.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree. Electronics Engineering Degree, BE. Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is a plus. Other certifications in electronics assembly is a plus. Min 3-5  years of proven work experience in electrical assembly and wiring.

Job Title: Production Planner (Assembly Plant)

Location: Jakande Estate, Lagos

Job Descriptions

  • In charge of developing effective strategies to increase production efficiency and output. Ensure products manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications and make sure that products are ready to distribute to customers in a timely fashion.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Develop a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed to meet predicted completion date.
  • Create a better workflow that uses company resources more effectively.
  • Create new initiatives that boost product quality, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
  • Liaise with sales division to determine customer requirements and prepare monthly forecasts in collaboration with marketing/sales division.
  • Use production specifications to establish lead time of operation (Assembly, Pre-test, Testing, Post-test and Panel Workshop sections) for the guidance of production workers.
  • Confer with section team leaders and supervisors to determine the status of assigned jobs if it is in line with the plan.
  • Expedite operations that delay schedule and alter schedule to meet target.
  • Create job orders on weekly basis and request the corresponding Bill of Materials to be transferred according to the plan from Store to Assembly floor for production.
  • Report finished jobs after production to store for consumption and inventory reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • BE in Industrial, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven work experience as a production planner. Strong planning/scheduling experience is required and preferably in a high volume made to order manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Assembly Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of work with all team members to produce quality products and deliver it on time. Responsible for development and implementation of operating procedures and continuous improvement programs.
  • Supervise the planning, scheduling and implementation of work with all assembly team members to produce high quality products and deliver it on time.
  • Accomplish manufacturing goals by communicating job expectations and setting up daily/weekly/monthly objectives to production team.
  • Review processing schedules and production orders and make decisions regarding resources needed to meet those schedules or orders.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Ensure all sections are following all safety and quality procedures and guidelines.
  • Check production output according to specifications.
  • Submit reports on production performance and progress.
  • Monitor equipment calibration dates.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Ensure that production line is effectively and efficiently maintained and suggest improvements.
  • Provide explanation and corrective actions for missed goal.
  • Check material to see if it conforms to the company specifications.
  • Report materials shortages and plan to overcome it.
  • Ensure materials are received early by all sections to meet weekly plans.
  • Provide proper trainings and educate assembly staff on effective way of assembling gensets.

  • Ensure good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and plan layout specifications by sectional supervisors.

  • Develop reports in AX/DOLPHIN to track and move material throughout the Departments to support on-time delivery.
  • Document the production process and calculate manufacturing cost in order to identify areas that needs improvement and work accurately to estimate the cost of future project.
  • Supervise all production assembly activities and offer feedback and instruction to all staff regarding productivity and quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • BE. Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Electrical is a plus. Min 7-8 years of proven work experience as production supervisor in the assembly line. Diploma in Process Engineering is a plus.
