Job Title: Subsea Operations Superintendent

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Follow-up of the installation engineering activities and the implementation of safe and sound installation procedures.
  • Implementation, organization/follow-up of Contractor marine spreads inspection and audit plan.
  • Enforcement and supervision of marine spread upgrade plans whenever identified as required.
  • Timely mobilizations of the appropriate contractor marine spreads, inclusive of pre-mobilization inspections.
  • Organization and mobilization of AKPO/EGINA installation supervision teams on the various vessels.
  • Management and supervision of all related offshore construction activities and coordination of offshore logistic activities, with presence offshore during certain periods/operations.
  • Manage the offshore representatives on the OIMR vessels and organize appropriate meetings and reporting to allow a proper supervision of the offshore activities.
  • Liaise with the System coordinators for all system related installation matters as necessary to resolve installation related issues.
  • Ensure that Contractor installation schedule is based on safe and realistic procedures and remains compatible with TUPNI overall plan. Report any potential deviation to the Subsea Manager and the DW ECP hierarchy.
  • Actively participate to the resolution of unavoidable operational interface/clashes with drilling program and Field Operations activities. Act as technical authority for the resolution of any of these situations offshore.
  • Be a potential representative of ECP team in case of an emergency offshore and be part of a possible emergency response cell onshore.
  • Participate in planning of offshore activities with other entities within TUPNI deepwater.
  • Installation risk assessment and control inclusive of mitigation measures, in coordination with the contractor risk management plan.
  • Enforce sufficient reporting process for the activities performed on and from the vessel to allow decision making process to be done at the appropriate level within COMPANY organization in accordance with applicable Delegation Of Authority (DOA).
  • Report any issue to Subsea Manager and maintain regular and efficient information to him.
  • Participate in clarification and responses to Contractor queries and requests for waivers issued for the activities performed on the vessel in accordance with project procedures.
  • Ensure proper liaison with the rest of the DW ECP and TUPNI organization to guaranty adequate coordination within the team for offshore activities. Particular attention will be paid to liaise on a regular basis and as needed with the Drilling and completions, Field Operations Subsea Engineers, HSE Engineer and the SIMOPS Coordinators on the FPSO.
  • Review and proffer solutions to all enquiries from the OIMR vessel.
  • Review and provide valuable input to Company or Contractor provided engineering documentations that may be needed for fabrication of equipment and subsequent installation subsea.
  • Any other work of a similar nature as may be requested by Subsea Manager/Hierarchy.

Job Requirements
Qualification:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent (Generalist, Mechanical, Marine …)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years verifiable offshore experience of sub-sea system installation/construction activities involving simultaneous operations in oil & gas of production environment (Drilling/Completions/Installation) including at least 2 years working aboard an OIMR vessel
  • Previous experience working on a Total asset will be an added advantage.

Job Title: ONNE Head of Materials (Drilling & Completion)

Location: Lagos

Job Description
Activities:

  • Ensure that the highest HSE company standards are implemented on Site in all areas within perimeter
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment are available on time, in proper working condition and have passed the necessary QA QC requirements
  • Ensure that all equipment is managed correctly (stored, shipped, returned, inspected, assembled, tested,…)
  • Ensure that yard tubular services are in compliance with the contract
  • Ensure that all equipment inventories are properly maintained & responsible are aware of potential issues
  • Ensure the companies HSE rules and practices are applied to all equipment and QA QC duties

Job Title: OIMR Vessel Company Representative

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Act as the focus and point of contact for the Contractor Site Representative on the vessel.
  • Organize day to day work on the vessel in coordination with the Contractor Vessel Site Representative.
  • Follow the progress of the work performed from the vessel and perform schedule monitoring along with the progress.
  • Ensure the right level of quality on the vessel and work with Contractor to achieve project requirement with regards to QA.
  • Ensure that the level of supervision of the activities performed on and from the vessel is sufficient to meet project specifications requirements.
  • Enforce daily meetings and weekly progress meetings with Contractor on-board and maintain regular communication with Contractor Vessel Site Representative.
  • Evaluate technical and work execution issues on the vessel with Contractor and contribute to their resolution at the vessel level whenever possible.
  • Enforce the Contract on the vessel and promptly report to above level any deviation for further decision to be taken.
  • Maintain at vessel perimeter an updated register of all queries and approved and non-approved waivers and ensure proper dispatch within COMPANY Organization.
  • Maintain at vessel perimeter an updated register of all deviations and non-conformances and develop them into a punch list of items to be resolved.
  • Enforce sufficient reporting process for the activities performed on and from the vessel to allow decision making process to be done at the appropriate level within COMPANY organization in accordance with applicable Delegation Of Authority (DOA).

  • Act as RSESD (Responsible Safety & Environment on Site Delegate) on the Deep Water field reporting in particular to the Field RSES.
  • Act as RSESD in charge of SIMOPS implementation and supervision with drilling units.
  • Ensure that COMPANY requirements are achieved at each phase of installation and carefully highlight/report to the hierarchy any shortcomings that may appear before vessel demobilisation.
  • Ensure the implementation of reliable and robust task plans.
  • Communicate about all technical interfaces and logistic issues linked to the vessel activities.
  • Promote any Safety Bulletins issued from with TOTAL Group for awareness within CONTRACTOR organisation.
  • Follow up any analysis process of reported unsafe act, ensure close out and transmissions of the lessons learned.
  • Any other work of a similar nature as may be requested by DW ECP Management.

Job Requirements

  • Compliance with DW ECP HSE KPI & Objective and assist DW ECP in compliance with overall TUCN HSE requirement.
  • Ensures effective and timely coordination and administration of Subsea operations activities with no lost time due to equipment/materials and logistics constraints.
  • Prepares accurate reports for timely transmission to hierarchies onshore.
  • Act as RSESD (Responsible Safety & Environment on Site Delegate) on the Deep Water field reporting in particular to the Field RSES.

  • At least 5 years verifiable offshore experience of Sub-sea system installation/construction activities involving simultaneous operations in oil & gas production environment.

Job Title: ECP FMC & Construction Site Superintendent

Location: Lagos

Job Description
Job Dimensions:

  • Focal/ Interface person for all ECP construction activities and Site management
  • Responsible for overseeing and supervising all construction activities offshore on schedule and according to HSE regulations.
  • Supervises technical teams from contractor offshore efficiently and in a good working spirit.
  • Supervision of all Fabric Maintenance Contact (FMC) activities on site.
  • Prepares daily reports.

Activities:

  • Ensure implementation of day-to-day priority work offshore in coordination with the Campaign Works Leader and FMC Contractor site rep.
  • Ensure the right level of quality on the worksite and work with Contractor to achieve project requirement with regards to QA.
  • Evaluates construction issues on the worksite with Contractor workers and contribute to their resolution at worksite level whenever possible.
  • Ensure work procedures are properly implemented on the worksite and deviations are promptly reported to his hierarchies for further decision to be taken.
  • Reports any issue to ECP Construction Manager and maintain regular and efficient information to him.
  • Participates in clarification and responses to Contractor queries and request for waivers issued on the worksite in accordance with project procedures.

  • Assists in constructability reviews and the planning and scheduling of construction jobs.
  • Monitor the overall progress of the contractors against schedule, providing reporting on same to line management, highlighting the potential for slippage and propose remedial actions and signing contractor daily reports, personnel and equipment timesheets.
  • Ensure Contractors have viable schedules for their work, recognizing interfaces with other ongoing company activities.
  • Participate, with contractors’ staff and company operations staff, in all pre-commissioning activities.
  • Maintain adequate records relating to events surrounding the work, which may give rise to contractors claiming for a cost increase against contract.
  • Ensure proper liaison with the OIM to ensure daily site activities aligns with field operations priorities and objectives
  • Contributes to project close out reports as applicable.
  • Maintains good relationships with FOPs/MTNC team, with DW-ECP teams and with Contractor(s), being flexible enough but also strict when necessary (safety or other aspects) to achieve the objectives of the Site Modification Requests.
  • Attends daily meetings and weekly progress meetings.

Job Requirements
Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Minimum Qualification: HND, B.Sc./B.Eng. in Engineering with 10-20 years experience in Offshore construction, Site supervision, Installation, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning in an Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry preferably on an FPSO.
  • Experience: Verifiable experience in the use of MS Office packages, Fluent in English, strong communication skills, manages interfaces effectively.

Job Title: Lead Umbilicals Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • During the CCFT FEED, the Umbilicals/Flexibles Engineer will be part of the TUPNI Project team who will oversee the execution of the CCFT FEED, specifically assisting the Pipelines & Umbilicals Leader on all technical matters related to Umbilicals, and Flexibles (and associated ancillaries) design activities performed by all the CCFT FEED Contractor Alliances.

Responsibilities
He will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing all relevant Engineering documents, which typically includes cross section design, dynamic analyses, installation analyses, components design (steel tubes, armours, carcass, polymer sheathes, electrical cables, fibre optics, etc …),flexibles / umbilicals mechanical characteristics and capacities validation, manufacturing analyses, fatigue analyses, transportation analysis, pre-commissioning analysis, umbilical ancillaries design (Bend Stiffeners, Bend Restrictors, Topsides and Subsea Termination/Interface Hardware etc.)
  • Assisting, as may be necessary, in Qualification activities pertaining to the relevant umbilical/flexible components of the flowline electrical heating system, involving, review of Contractor’s existing qualification dossiers as well as new dossiers specifically generated for PREOWEI such as classical analyses, FEA’s, and also small and full scale physical testings/analyses to qualify the flowline electrical heating system within the background of PREOWEI functional requirements and environment;
  • Assisting in resolution of interface issues as necessary, such as umbilical/flexible terminations design, installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning etc.
  • Assisting in analysis of Contractor technical queries and preparation of comments and proposed answers to these queries
  • Ensuring that Engineering activities are performed in line with CCFT FEED Contract requirements and Project Specifications
  • Ensuring that Engineering activities are performed in line with TOTAL general specifications and issue proper derogations, if required
  • Ensuring that HSE requirements are taken into consideration during design
  • Liaising with other Team engineers to ensure technical consistency of all interfacing systems constituting the PREOWEI development as well as the existing EGINA facilities.
  • Getting assistance from TOTAL Specialists, or third parties, if required, for specific topics (such as geotechnics,hydrodynamics, structural, material & welding, corrosion & coating, etc …)
  • Getting feedback from other deepwater projects on flexible and umbilicals systems
  • Participating in various technical reviews (Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews etc …)
  • Assisting as necessary, concerning Umbilicals/Flexibles (and associated ancillaries), in the preparation of the technical aspects of the EPCI Contract.
  • Other tasks as assigned by hierarchy.

HSE:

  • To ensure that all safety and environmental required studies will be reviewed/updated and that final design will comply with ALARP policy.
  • To ensure that design will comply with all HSE requirements and that Safety and Environment dossiers will be provided to National Authorities in due time.
  • To demonstrate leadership for implementation of Company requirements on technological risks management.
  • To ensure that all recommendations from safety studies and technical reviews are fully addressed in the design.

Job Requirements
Accountabilities:

  • Reports directly to the SURF Engineering Leader
  • Accountable for Umbilical and flexibles design engineering and interface with SPS and other packages within the project.

Necessary Profile:

  • Graduate Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline MANDATORY (copy of certificate to be provided) with MSc or equivalent. Depending on experience, candidates with BSc may be also given consideration
  • Minimum 7 years experience in flexibles / umbilicals engineering (and associated ancillaries) for deepwater projects with demonstrable engineering aptitude.
  • Excellent knowledge of international flexibles/umbilicals design codes / standards (API/ ISO series in particular) and TOTAL general specifications
  • Good sense of organization, ability to identify critical aspects, to summarize and present complex design issues
  • Some basic knowledge in electrical / fibre optic cables, material, corrosion, coatings and hydrodynamics will bealso valuable
  • Some basic knowledge in flow-assurance will be also valuable
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work efficiently, prioritize in a fast-paced project and meet schedule requirements.
  • Prior experience in the power cables/umbilicals (MV or LV) aspects of pipeline electrical heating technologies (ETH-PIP or DEH-Wet insulation) is a plus.

Job Title: EPSRS & Subsea Studies Coordinator

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The major activities of the (Emergency Pipeline and Subsea Repair System) EPSRS Coordinator cover the two main areas of emergency repairs, the conceptual strategy and the material management:

Conceptual Strategy:
In line with Company Referential requirement and local organisation, puts in place the requirement of an EPSRS:

  • Finalise with all stakeholders the exact scope of intervention of ESPRS, in particular with regards to subsea production units (valves, instrumentation, wellheads, etc…),
  • Establish the EPSRS technical guide, covering asset register, most likely failure scenarios and guide through the repair process,
  • Update components criticality ranking,
  • Define repair scenarios and develop repair methodologies covering from damage investigation through to re-commissioning,
  • Prepare detailed description of incorporable equipment to be used in case of repair,
  • Source qualified suppliers and indicate delivery schemes, schedules and costs,
  • Provide guidelines for storage and preservation,
  • Make recommendation for spares and contracting strategy,
  • Identify Contractors capable of managing repairs of identified critical failure scenarios,
  • Challenge identified repair solutions proposed by Contractors,
  • Identify necessary tools and procedures to manage repairs of identified critical failure scenarios,
  • Identify necessary spares,
  • In collaboration with DW and Port-Harcourt (PHC) Districts Technical & Logistics Departments, define material management strategy for
  • EPSRS material,
  • Carry-out if necessary tests on repair solution to ensure soundness,
  • Carry out necessary studies where required to develop adequate solution to failures on subsea equipment
  • Organise training and awareness of various entities potentially involved in an emergency repair to ensure preparedness of organisation,
  • Be the Technical Administrator (TADM) for EPSRS stock materials,
  • Be the custodian of EPSRS stock material technical supporting documents, e.g. mill certificates, material certificates, pressure test certificates, manufacturer certificates, etc…,
  • Be the guardian of EPSRS documentation quality assurance and quality control,
  • Establish synergies between DW Districts Asset EPSRS strategies,
  • Representing Company, participate in Work Groups on EPSRS matter with other Nigerian operators,
  • Prepare the EPSRS organisational and maintenance procedures.
  • Create and maintain an organized directory tree on the common Drive.

Material Management:
In collaboration with Technical Logistics Department, establish a leadership position in order to ensure that:

  • EPSRS and operational surplus segregation are well organised for ex Project delivered material,
  • EPSRS material is reviewed and inspected on receipt,
  • Dedicated preservation plans are elaborated and put in place per type of material, ensure markings are readable,
  • Regular inspection of EPSRS material is organised, result reports issued and subsequent action plans put in place,
  • EPSRS material is stored in specific and dedicated areas (open air, warehouse, confined environment…) as per Company Technical
  • Authorities (TA) and manufacturers or suppliers storage recommendations,
  • EPSRS material and supporting documents are properly managed (UNISUP),
  • Regular inspection, maintenance, repair, replenishment and recertification of EPSRS stock materials are implemented,
  • Periodical (annual) reviews and update of EPSRS documentation are implemented.
  • Best use of storage facilities in LADOL, Onne or Port-Harcourt new pipe yard is determined in liaison with DW PHC District, by specifying the required space and conditions (open, sheltered and air conditioned) and access conditions.
  • Planning and costs are properly followed up (integrated schedule, internal cost exercises : IB, PdCs, Re).

Job Requirements
Context and Environment:

  • Adopting the proper scheme and strategy for implementing an EPSRS is a challenging issue as there is a permanent and prominent concern to maximise preparedness and minimise capital assets.
  • The job holder must therefore exert a sensible sense of judgment to recommend / validate solutions suited to the local environment and business constraints, without compromising on the major requirements of Integrity Management. Working on successive building blocks, demonstrating localised benefits, working from simple to complex will be preferred strategies.
  • EPSRS Coordination is an overarching / transverse function, dealing with a rather important number of activities and disciplines having already
  • their own approaches and practices. Developing good collaborative spirit with all stakeholders, demonstrating clear long term vision and showing a
  • good degree of conviction are therefore essential to the success.
  • The position holds a wide spectrum of activities and requires extended and solid experience in various disciplines in order to ensure adherence of staff to the objectives.

Accountabilities:

  • Compliance with DW ECP HSE KPI & Objective and assist DW ECP in compliance with overall TUCN HSE requirement.
  • Accountability is mainly associated to the soundness of the repair solutions and recommendations proposed as the job holder has no direct management responsibility.
  • His main accountability lies into the level of preparedness of DW District to face emergency repairs to be carried out on subsea equipment. This implies development of repair methodologies and contracting strategies covering specific services and spares procurement.

Qualifications / Experience Required
Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of an M.Sc in an Engineering discipline with strong technical background.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience, preferably 10, in Oil and Gas operations and design.
  • Experience of Deep water/North sea subsea operations
  • Worked with or for major pipeline or subsea Contractors.
  • Good knowledge in following areas: pipeline design, subsea design, pipeline layout operations, subsea operations, contracts, procurement.
  • Awareness in following areas in the oil and gas offshore business: risk assessment, marine design, marine operations, maintenance, inspection, design engineering, project, diving and ROV, quality.

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English
  • Awareness of TOTAL in house tools: SAP, SYNERGI will be an advantage.
