Job Title: Managing Director, Micro Finance Bank

Location: Abuja

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the business operations and provide strategic leadership by developing strategic plans and company policies and driving organizational success.
  • Analyzes risk information from both internal and external data sources to update understanding of risk exposures and trends.
  • Develop and direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all health and safety and other statutory regulations.

Requirements

  • First degree in Finance, Business or other related discipline
  • MBA or M.Sc. in related
  • Professional certification e.g. ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CIMA etc.
  • Minimum of 12 years work experience of which 6 should be in a senior management position.
  • Proven experience with a reputable banking organization in business management, strategy implementation and project/ change management roles.
  • Experience in credit administration, trade finance processes and back office operation.
  • Able to promote advocacy role within the MFB Association.
  • Possesses business management, writing and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of MFB methodologies, corporate governance procedures and standards.
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Planning and forecasting.

 

Job Title: Group Head, Legal

Location: Abuja

Key Responsibilities
Overseeing all legal affairs across the various companies:

  • Agro & Telecomm, Oil & Gas, Mortgage Bank, Capital Project & Equipment Management, Aluminum roofing sheets, Microfinance Bank, Haulage and Transportation and Real Estate Construction and evaluating them according to established goals.

Legal Advisory/Contractual Agreements/Litigation Related Matters:

  • Prepare and review of simple letters and contracts on behalf of the Company;
  • Liaise with company lawyers in the drafting of contracts, review of contracts and preparation of court case files

Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the company fills out and submits all its legal paperwork
  • Carry out SON Products registrations of the Company’s products;
  • Keep records of and notify all business Units of the progress of Type Approval Registrations and SON Product registrations;

Company Secretary:

  • Taking of meeting minutes and preparation of reports to management
  • Maintain a good record of contracts, MOUs and Legal documents

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage the legal budget to get the most services for the least money
  • Maintenance of proper documentation, compliance checklists and regular tracking of records, approvals and related transactions

Requirements

  • B.L Degree from the Nigeria Law School
  • Minimum of LLB and LL.M degree from a reputable university
  • Member of Nigerian Bar Association
  • Minimum of 12 years work experience of which 6 should be in a senior management position.
  • Exposure to reviewing Term Sheets, Business Agreements, Due Diligence research and Regulatory Compliance Job

Job Title: Group Head, Finance

Location: Abuja

Key Responsibilities

  • The Group Head, Finance will be responsible for ensuring timely provision of relevant and reliable financial information to the various companies: Agro & Telecomm, Oil & Gas, Mortgage Bank, Capital Project & Equipment Management, Aluminum roofing sheets, Microfinance Bank, Haulage and Transportation and Real Estate Construction.
  • The successful candidate will also ensure adequate control systems and processes are in place to secure the assets of the organization and efficiently implement the financial policies/procedures of the Organization in line with generally accepted accounting policies.
  • Monitor compliance with the Organization cost management practices, credit management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the maintenance of fixed assets inventory/register and performance of Annual budget.
  • Review and endorse capital expenditure requisition for all units within the Organization.
  • Oversee preparation of comprehensive, proactive and timely financial and management information, including tax, cash flow and statutory accounts.
  • Provide direction for the proper management reporting on the performance of the Organization.
  • Design and monitor implementation of systems and controls to ensure compliance with tax and other financial regulatory provisions.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the finance function. Work with Human Resources employees to secure candidates who will be an asset to the finance department

Requirements

Job Title: Group Head, Internal Audit

Location: Abuja

Key Responsibilities

  • The Group Head, Internal Audit is essentially a policeman or watchdog of the various companies: Agro & Telecomm, Oil & Gas, Mortgage Bank, Capital Project & Equipment Management, Aluminum roofing sheets, Microfinance Bank, Haulage and Transportation and Real Estate Construction. .
  • Basis responsibilities are to develop policies and procedures, ensure their implementation and monitor compliance with zero tolerance to fraud.
  • In essence, the Group Head Audit performs evaluations and make recommendations for improved controls.
  • Overall management and coordination of the Audit Team across the various companies.
  • Audit Manpower Development and Training.
  • Quality Assurance and internal Control implementation.
  • Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure compliance with company policies & other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all revenue/income earned are recorded in the appropriate books of accounts & checking Presentation in the financial statement.
  • Engage in follow up audit to ensure effectiveness of financial controls, policies and procedures.

Job Title: Group Head, Enterprise ement

Location: Abuja

Key Responsibilities

  • The Group Head Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for developing, maintaining, managing and executing a comprehensive process for identifying, accessing, mitigating, monitoring and reporting on risks that may impact on the performance of the various companies: Agro & Telecomm, Oil & Gas, Mortgage Bank, Capital Project & Equipment Management, Aluminum roofing sheets, Microfinance Bank, Haulage and Transportation and Real Estate Construction.
  • Analyzes risk information from both internal and external data sources to update understanding of risk exposures and trends.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit on the creation of Insurance to influence appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Also to ensure that risks are identified and considered in the development of strategic vision, and proactively managed to balance both the risk and rewards of business.
  • Continuously improves ongoing, consistent and robust ERM practices to identify, prioritize, assess, mitigate, monitor and report on the risks and opportunities across the Companies;
  • Develop effective relationships with various levels of management across the companies to build and maintain risk management ownership and accountability;
  • Support top-down risk assessments and collaborates with bottom-up functional risk assessment owners to ensure well-informed enterprise risk assessment results.
