We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Niger

Job Description

  • Initial assessment and preparing a management plan for patients
  • Inpatient assessment ward rounds and review
  • Liaise with Senior Medical Officer with regards to Inpatient and Outpatient care
  • Relate with patients relatives / caregivers on present state of health and further management.
  • Provide documentation as regards Health reports and discharge summaries of clients
  • Attend to emergencies as regards clients (inpatient) health care.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current care methods and suggest improvements
  • Business development and NGO activities
  • Some administrative function.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mental health care
  • Must have completed NYSC.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
  • Attention to details
  • Good listening ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Excellent relationship management.
  • Proactive problem solving approach
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.

 

Job Title: Senior Medical Officer

Location: Niger

Job Description

  • Inpatient Assessment, ward rounds and review (diagnosis, management plan medications).
  • Liaise with consultants with regards to Inpatient and Outpatient care.
  • Outpatient review and initial assessment.
  • Relate with patients relatives / caregivers on present state of health and further management.
  • Home pickups of clients/potential clients.
  • Staff reviews on health related matters.
  • Provide documentation as regards Health reports and discharge, summaries of clients.
  • Attend to emergencies as regards clients (inpatient) health care.
  • Perform managerial, research and development duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • MBBS
  • 3 to 5 years Experience in patient assessment.
  • Must have completed NYSC.
  • Experience in a Mental health setting will be added advantage
  • Good listening ability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Excellent relationship management.
  • Proactive problem solving approach.
  • Stress tolerance.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skill

Salary
N140,000 – N200,000 monthly


Job Title:  Consultant Psychiatrist

Location: Niger State
Employment Type: Full time/ Part- Time

 

Required Qualification and Experience

  • Applicant must have a degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)
  • Must have a fellowship from either the West African College of Physicians or the National Postgraduate College of Nigeria
  • Must have 4-6 years of experience in mental health service provision
  • Applicant must be a registered member of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and should still own a valid practicing license
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting application
  • Good communication skills

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The post holder will;

  • Be responsible for patient assessment and diagnosis prior to admission, in patient care, discharge planning and aftercare
  • Construct an accurate summary of patient’s needs, strengths, and a comprehensive individualized risk assessment that contributes to care planning.
  • Communicate effectively through regular contact with patients, relatives and any other concerned bodies
  • Run family sessions in line with the patients treatment plan and when the need arises
  • Contribute to other departments in the organization – Business development, Administration and Management.
  • Provide Clinical leadership in interaction, planning and collaboration with multidisciplinary team comprising of Psychiatric Nurses, Support Workers, and Clinical Psychologists in delivering a comprehensive high quality service.
  • Clinically support, coordinate and consult for sister organisations
  • Organize and supervise weekly clinical meetings
  • Play an active role in our sister charity organization, Reconnect Health Development Initiative
  • Take a lead role in developing mental health services
  • Be required to perform on call duties.
