A reputable non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of diseases of public health importance in Nigeria seeks to recruit qualified person to fill critical position necessary for their programme implementation. The organization works in partnership with the Federal and State Governments of Nigeria, USAID, Global Fund as well as the British government to fight AIDS, Malnutrition, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Nigeria.

We are seeking qualified and suitable candidates to assume the vacant position below:

 

Job Title: Manager – Finance and Administration

Locations: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Oyo and Plateau.

Job Task

  • Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will coordinate annual budget preparations and compliance and ensure that project budgets are reviewed at least quarterly.
  • S / He will work with the Project Director on periodic preparation of Financial Statements and ensure completion of project financials on monthly basis.
  • S / He will conduct monthly budget / actual analysis to give feedback to Project Director every month; prepare and submission of donor specific monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Finally, review staff and vendor payments to ensure error free transactions and respond to all audit issues related to project financials.
  • S / He will review all transactions posted into donor project books and make corrections where necessary before they are posted for consolidation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must possess a first Degree or its equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
  • Must possess a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Admin or Finance with a professional certification of ICAN or ACCA.
  • Must possess minimum Ten (10) years post NYSC working experience with at least seven (7) years of experience in a bilateral or multi-lateral agency financed project in the Nigeria (or an African nation).
  • Knowledge and expertise in the field of project preparation, commercial negotiations, financial management, internal controls / systems development, accounting, auditing and reporting.
  • Must be proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent financial standards, rules and regulations relating to good financial management.
  • Ability to solve problems, exercising good judgement will be an asset.
  • Must be of good character with proven impeccable integrity.

Job Title: Project Director

Locations: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Oyo and Plateau.

Job Task

  • The successful person will be responsible for the technical content of the service delivery aimed at increasing utilization of quality, cost-effective nutrition services for pregnant and lactating women.
  • S / He will provide technical expertise in high-impact malnutrition services in the State and provide overall leadership, management and general technical direction of the entire program.
  • The Project Director must be highly analytical who ensures an integrated vision for the program and must be able to organize work effectively.
  • S / He will be responsible for annualizing work plans for community-sensitive service delivery of basic package of nutrition services (BPNS) targeting the most vulnerable (poor, adolescent and lactating mothers and their children).
  • S / He will produce performance reports detailing quantitative achievement of targets for each service under BPNS in the reporting formats prescribed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must possess a Master’s degree in relevant discipline (Nutrition, Medicine, Sociology etc).
  • Must have at least minimum of ten (10) years’ post qualification experience managing development projects in Nigeria, with a strong focus on field implementation.
  • Experience managing projects with a focus on behavior change would be an asset.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Must possess good relationship management’ advocacy skills.
  • Must possess good report writing, presentation, data interpretation skills

Job Title: Nutrition Specialist

Job Task

  • The successful person will report to the Project Director and will be responsible for coordinating the service delivery that is aimed at increasing assess to and utilization of knowledge for improved behavior related to infant and young child feeding, notably early, exclusive and continued breastfeeding, appropriate complementary feeding of children 6-23 months of age.
  • S / He will be responsible for deployment of the proposed innovations to comply with the technical and operational standards and ensure regular documentation and reporting on the progress of the innovation.
  • The Nutrition Specialist will participate in periodic quality testing of nutrition related products, supplies and pharmaceuticals undertaken by NAFDAC or independent parties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Nutrition / Public Health)
  • Must have a minimum of Eight (8) years’ post-Master’s experience managing development projects in Nigeria, with a strong focus on field implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience of working on nutrition-related issues with multi-sectoral teams in developing nations
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical approaches for operational work.
  • Knowledge of other Nigerian languages will be an asset.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Must possess good relationship management’ advocacy skills.
  • Must possess good report writing, presentation, data interpretation skills.

Job Title: Manager – Procurement and Logistics

Job Task

  • This position will report to the Project Director and will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of commodities to all programme states by conducting stock analyses and reconciliation and preparing proper forecasts and distribution plans.
  • The position will also liaise with NAFDAC to ensure compliance with all pharmaco-vigilance requirements and ADR reporting, and will be responsible for ensuring the project implements approved quality assurance programmes.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Must possess a B.Pharm degree or Master’s degree or equivalent in Sciences, Accounting with training in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • Must possess at least minimum of five (5) years post NYSC in procurement planning and management in private sector / international organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience of efficiently and efficaciously completing procurement of health-sector goods and commodities.
  • Must have knowledge and ability to work on ICT tools for inventory management, logistics and supply chain management.
  • Ability to develop and write proposals and strong report writing skills
  • Experience in donor funded project management will be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word and Power point required
  • Strong credibility and integrity in this domain.
