Job Title: Sales Manager ( Avert) – Electronic Security Solution

Location: Lagos
Division/Department: Virtual Security Services Division

Job Summary

  • The Sales Manager is responsible for the delivery of day-to-day Business Development and Sales activities for the Electronic Security Solutions of the Halogen Group.

Key areas of sales activities are:

  • Avert (Electronic Security Solution):
    • Electronic Security Gadgets e.g Car Tracker, CCTV, Panic Alarm, Access Control,
    • Liquid Monitoring Solution
    • Intrusion Panic Alarm System
    • Fire Alarm
    • Parameter Fencing
    • Biometric Time & Attendance
  • A key responsibility of the role is focused on ensuring that the Avert & ArmourX businesses take full advantage of the opportunities created by the on-going security challenges in the country and West Africa region and the reaction of corporate bodies and individuals to these various threats through enhancement of their security architecture.
  • The position holder will also ensure the company is strategically well placed to aggressively defend, and grow, its market share of, and profitability from, the various SBU product lines by understanding the nature of competition and anticipating competitor strategies/actions.

Organisational Relationships:

  • Directly Reports to: Director, Virtual Security
  • Indirectly Reports to: Group Sales Manager
  • Supervises: NIL
  • Indirectly Supervises: NIL

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and increase sales of Virtual Security Services nationwide
  • Develop and send reports (sales, revenue, expenses report and forecast) to the Director, Virtual Security.
  • Implement sales strategies and set targets for sales officers
  •  Analyze sales statistics gathered by sales executives to determine sales potential and monitor clients’ preferences
  • Continually develop knowledge of and report on the business climate, applications and competition for defined sector
  • Responsible for performance management, motivation and development of junior staff within the team
  • Mentor and coach Sales Officers to ensure performance in the team is sustained
  • Maintain an archive of reports for records purposes
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to establish, maintain, expand and deepen the customer base in their respective sectors
  • Develop and follow up on business leads
  • Increase business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve assigned revenue target
  • Healthy pipeline for projected Revenue Target
  • Target Budget/Actual performance results (performance against critical business metrics: Net Margins, IRR, TSR, EBITDA, ROCE, ROA, ROI, Turnover, PBT, Customer Satisfaction, Staff Motivation, Quality standards etc)
  • Upfront payment for all sales activities
  • No. of targeted high-profile customers won/lost
  • SLA or MOU signoff for all sales activities
  • Market share growth

Qualifications & Experience

  • First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution
  • 5 – 7 years of work experience in a related role within a reputable and structured organisation.
  • Track records of successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager
  • Exposure to marketing principles, government and external agencies
  •  Solid business strategy development and execution skills
  • Good understanding of the local and international security industry
  • Strong business acumen and risk management awareness
  • Strong consulting and advisory background
