Job Title: Service Food Assistant

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Give support to the Service Food Manager in the daily preparation and presentation of fresh food and drink products to customers as well as the overall operations of the service food kitchen.
  • Carry out operations based on a good knowledge of proper food preparation, kitchen safety techniques and health standards.
  • Assist in ensuring that the food is well prepared and palatable, the proportions are correct and served quickly, friendly and courteously.
  • Assist the Service Food Manager to monitor food cost and waste, and suggests the best methods to optimize profit as well as create the best experience possible for customers.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Restaurant and hospitality management, food management or any food related course
  • Good experience in in the food production and retail industry.

Skills Requirements:

  • Cooking skills and knowledge of recipes and food matching
  • Able to prepare fresh food in large quantities
  • Knowledge of relevant food safety legislations and HACCP rules
  • Good understanding of the meaning of food quality and freshness
  • Have high standards of cleanliness and the ability to adhere to strict hygiene rules
  • Should be an expert in food control and have excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Understands (local) customer tastes, behaviours and the effect on sales
  • Energy, drive and a strong can-do attitude (getting-it-done mentality)
  • A desire for continuous food improvement and professional development.

Job Title: Food Service Manager

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily fresh food production and its preparations in accordance with the recipes.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the presentation of food products as well as the overall operations of the service food kitchen.
  • Ensure that everyone is trained in proper food preparation, kitchen safety techniques and understands health standards.
  • Ensure that the store is represented correctly and that the company’s standards are upheld
  • Lead the service food team to make sure the food looks good, is cooked properly, the proportions are correct and customers are served quickly by friendly and courteous staff.
  • Set cleaning & work schedules for the kitchen as well as trains and disciplines employees.
  • Keep an eye on food cost, waste and employee hours, and looks for the best methods to optimize margins, and creates the best taste experience possible for the customers.

Job Title: Bakery Manager

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Food technologist to ensure that raw materials, recipes and ingredients of good quality are gotten.
  • Carry out and monitors tasks on bread and baked goods production
  • Efficiently carry out stock, inventory and product calculations
  • Follow and enforce HACCP, safety, hygiene and maintenance guidelines in the bakery
  • Monitor and execute sales promotion tasks
  • Ensure effective teamwork and leadership of the bakery team

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Food management, food science or any food related course
  • Good experience working in the food production or food retail industry, especially in the bakery department.

Skills Requirements:

  • Knowledge of how to prepare baked goods (bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, etc.)
  • Able to prepare baked goods in large quantities
  • Knowledge of relevant food safety legislations and HACCP rules
  • Good understanding of the meaning of food quality and freshness
  • Have high standards of cleanliness and the ability to adhere to strict hygiene rules
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Adept at finding best practices for production
  • Strong interpersonal and commercial skills
