Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory consumption, production loss etc.
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, procedures and processes
- Determine the costs and efficiency of company purchasing activities and business operations
- Interpret financial information regarding cost improvements for management
- Forecast and plan future purchasing costs according to fiscal needs
Required Qualification
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant numerate discipline
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst or similar role
- Qualified Chartered Accountant is an advantage
Required Skills
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with any ERP, especially Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- Computer literacy, Advanced MS Excel in particular
- In-depth understanding of IFRS
