Sinoma Cargo International Nigeria Limited is wholly-owned subsidiary invested by Sinoma Cargo in Nigeria, founded in June 2016, located in Nigeria, Lagos. Sinoma Cargo is the first branch set up in West Africa in the process of implementing globalization strategy.

Currently, Sinoma Cargo has obtained the clearance qualification and provides overseas warehousing and distribution services, equipped with 40 normal trailers and 10 tow-beds, Sinoma Cargo Nigeria can deliver general cargoes, heavy lifts, over-sized goods and self-owned custom house broker has been set up as well. There are 12 Chinese employees and 100 native employees at present.

Job Title: Cashier / Data Capture

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Update data and delete unnecessary files
  • Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
  • Enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms
  • Compute and record totals of transactions.
  • Operating Scanner, Scales, cash registers and other electronics
  • Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.
  • Transcribe information into required electronic format
  • Scan documents into document management systems or databases
  • Check completed work for accuracy

Requirements

  • A University Degree in Accounting or Banking is required.
  • Candidate must have worked as an account officer in any shipping firm/company
  • Proficient in the use of the computers especially Microsoft excel and Microsoft Word
  • Good ability to learn
  • Ability to work under pressure.

 

Job Title: Import and Export Operation Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Responsible for planning and coordinating the international shipment of goods. you will be expected to negotiate with a variety of people, such as shippers, agents and vendors, and are expected to have excellent customer service skills in dealing with customers.
  • Examine documents including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
  • Establish, monitor, and revise policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations, and write procedures for the handling of each account. Includes classifications, schedule of service, shipment entry, and booking process.
  • Oversee and monitor team performance – both quantity or quality -audit shipment documents, and conduct periodic client reviews to identify areas of concern in the clients’ export processes. Communicate / escalate transaction problems or irregularities to manager and assist in identifying solutions.
  • Keep track of invoices and prepare reports to expedite the billing process.
  • Ensure that shipments are in compliance with the laws and regulations governing the export industry.
  • Perform many other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience as an import and export supervisor in a reputable company is required for this position.
  • Applicants must have a University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

 

Job Title: Operations Supervisor (Import)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • Supervises and coordinates activities in the clearing of imports shipments, in accordance with Federal or foreign regulations.
  • Oversees daily operations of the department, to ensure profitability and compliance with company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements; providing excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing and compliance with government regulations and / or company policies.
  • Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Job Description

  • Examine documents including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or an equivalent combination of work experience.
  • Team management experience is essential.
  • Sea Import experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific
  • Software applications.
  • Able to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.

 

Job Title: Port Operation Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Facilitate daily / weekly / monthly scheduling of operations
  • Lead morning huddle
  • Participate in daily Foreman Toolbox Talks
  • Facilitate pre-operation meetings
  • Facilitate planning of operations in compliance with Company standards
  • Ensure there is proper and adequate resources (manpower & equipment) to perform the work efficiently
  • Assist Supervisor with allocating resources (manpower & equipment) to operations
  • Ensure work is being executed in accordance to the plan, and approve any changes that may be necessary
  • Ensure work site is kept clean, organized, and professional
  • Coordinate with client’s operations personnel
  • Coordinate with Subcontractors
  • Manage and enforce the designated operator (task training) program
  • Manage and enforce the daily equipment inspection program
  • Review daily / weekly cost reports with Supervisors and Foremen
  • Assists Supervisors and Foremen with solving operational issues
  • Regular communication with field level employees to reinforce vision, goals, expectations, changes, etc
  • Maintain high morale of field level employees
  • Train and coach Supervisors and Foremen in accordance with Division succession plan
  • Perform many other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • At least 7 years’ experience of commercial marine operations management
  • Degree in any related field
  • Not less than 38 years of age.

Job Title: Fleet Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • Manages and oversees the maintenance, repair, purchasing and disposal of our company vehicles, equipment, and other assets deemed surplus accomplished by providing departments with their annual vehicle maintenance and fuel budgets; consulting with departments about fleet needs and priorities.

Job Description

  • Offers guidance to contracted drivers on the best ways to maximize their earnings, while delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Ensures that all drivers understand and procure the licenses and permits they need to legally carry loads to customers’ destinations.
  • Collaborate with human resources and marketing to add quality employee drivers and contracted drivers to the fleet.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to find ways to reduce downtime due to repairs or lack of routine maintenance
  • Overseeing fleet maintenance staff in carrying out all vehicle maintenance activities
  • Developing the maintenance division budget and fleet replacement program
  • Perform many other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or an equivalent combination of work experience.
  • Team management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge on Road and Warehouse operations is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
