Job Title: Cashier / Service Desk

Location: Benin, Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively and efficiently executing cash desk operations
  • Management of payment processing as well as corrections and refunding processes for customers.
  • Performance tasks related to skimming, counting and change according to Operating Instructions.
  • Effectively carry out customer orientation and relations functions
  • Maintain a clean and tidy desk
  • Provide support to Merchandizers as required

Education and Experience Requirement

  • A minimum of SSCE
  • Experience in a retail environment, preferably in customer service or as a cashier

Skills Requirements:

  • Thorough, accurate and able to work in a fast paced environment

Job Title: Merchandiser

Location: Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for displaying the products, according to the Merchandize rules and planograms, as decided by the Commercial dept.
  • Ensure that available stock is displayed at the sales area, accessible to customers, and that the shelves are clean.
  • Check the stock levels, refills the shelves, floor displays and baskets.
  • Stock the goods as much as possible at the sales floor by keeping the stock at the back room as low as possible.
  • Ensures that all articles and boxes are provided with the correct price communications, that promotion boards and navigations are clear and readable at the sales floor.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • At least an OND or HND qualification
  • Experience in retail merchandizing, warehousing

Job Title: Goods Receiving Manager

Location: Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Control, direct and coordinate the receipt of goods strictly according to the 4-eye-principle
  • Ensure that all incoming goods and materials are controlled on quality and volumes, and ensures goods under temperature control are taken into the coolers/freezers immediately.
  • Refuse damaged and sub standard goods and register refusals and shortcomings
  • Ensure that there are no discrepancies between the number of boxes received (and box content) and materials stated in the document from the supplier.
  • Decide on which goods can be transferred to the sales floor for merchandizing the goods, which goods should be stored at the warehouse, and which goods can’t be released yet.
  • Ensure that Goods Return and Goods Transfer, is done excellently.
  • Ensure a smooth and consistent warehouse operation so that supplies are distributed to the sales floor in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Ensure effective waste management.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • University degree, Retail, Logistics or Wholesales Management
  • 1 – 2 year(s) experience in a control and supervisory position
  • Prior experience in logistics.

Job Title: Goods Receiver, Warehouse

Location: Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Counting the deliveries and transfers under the direction and supervision of the Goods Receiving Manager
  • Helping with unloading the incoming goods and materials, and helping with loading the outgoing goods and materials according to the Business Processes
  • Send goods to their designated locations in the warehouse, and transfers the goods to the sales floor for further processing or loads the goods in the truck as directed.
  • Checking on quality and on volumes based on goods receipt process.
  • Optimize storage space within the store warehouse and maintains the order of the warehouse and its inventory, in addition to moving the goods to other storage zones and the sales floor.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and tools, as well as waste management.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Lower to mid-level education
  • At least 1 year experience working in a warehouse
  • Prior experience using moveable operating equipment like forklifts or yard truck

Job Responsibilities

  • Learn intensively about the store organization and its processes by assisting the Store Manager and the Deputy Store manager in daily operations.
  • Learn to develop and maintain a high level of store performance (strive for operational excellence), for running the store efficiently and for reaching the operational and financial goals.

  • Efficiently carry out stock, inventory and product calculations
  • Follow and enforce HACCP, safety, hygiene and maintenance guidelines in the bakery
  • Monitor and execute sales promotion tasks
  • Ensure effective team work and leadership of the bakery team

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Food management, food science or any food related course
  • Good experience working in the food production or food retail industry, especially in the bakery department.

Skills Requirements:

Job Responsibilities

  • Support and assist the Store Manager in the daily operations and administration of the store, including sales, organizing the goods flow, the cash flow, customer care etc.
  • Ease the burden of the Store Manager’s responsibility to maintain a high level of store performance, running the store efficiently, and reaching financial goal
  • Assist the Store Manager in coaching and developing the team to be highly effective.
  • Execute all the tasks of the Store Manager, as the Deputy Store Manager and substitutes the Store Manager when absent.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of middle level education, retail or wholesales management
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in (food) retail performance management from a commercial and customer focused environment
  • Good understanding of the meaning of food quality and freshness

  • Assist the Bakery manager in determining the required raw materials at the bakery and ensure that they are of good quality
  • Perform tasks related to bread and baked goods production
  • Participate in carrying out stock, inventory and product calculations
  • Work with the Bakery Manager to achieve sales targets as well as other sales related tasks
  • Ensure that HACCP, safety, hygiene and maintenance guidelines are followed
  • Communicate and relate with customers

Education / Work Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Food Management or any food related course.
  • Good experience in the food production or food retail industry, especially in the bakery department
  • Available to work in BENIN

Skills Requirements:

  • Knowledge in preparing baked goods (breads, cakes, pastries, cookies etc.)
  • Able to prepare baked goods in large quantities

Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Edo

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) and carry out other tasks to ensure safety and security
  • Efficiently and effectively manage activities at the store’s entrance and exit
  • Greet and provide directions to costumers
  • Manage parking activities and ensure that parking rules are followed
  • Provide HR and Training and development support for Security staff.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE or some education/qualification in Security Administration or a similar field
  • At least a year’s experience as a security officer in front line security guarding or door supervision

Skills Requirements:

  • Very alert, vigilant and honest
  • Physically fit and able to remain on feet for long periods of time
  • Polite, friendly and confident and assertive in dealing with customers and staff
  • Able to use relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
