Job Title: Warehouse Checker

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • The Warehouse Checker reports to the Warehouse Manager/Depot Warehouse Supervisor.
  • The main responsibilities of the role are to count truck inventory and keeps accurate records of finished goods transported out of the facility for sales delivery or distribution to another warehouse.
  • Receive finished goods and other materials from Production and at the gate into inventory and maintains appropriate records.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure load accuracy at check in and check out by physically counting.
  • Maintain Good Housekeeping and Good manufacturing practices. Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled.
  • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly stock count.
  • Ensure adherence to all audit policies and standards.
  • Ensure proper goods receipt from production lines, issuance of materials to the production line and space creation for finished goods produced/received from other locations.
  • Give ideas and participate in all engagement activities
  • Document quantity, quality, type and as suitable products to maintain shipping, receiving, and production records and files.
  • Compare product labels, tags and Certificate of Analysis to verify accuracy of shipment content
  • Examine products or materials and packaging, for damage, defects, or shortages, using specified sheets, booklet, shipment document, delivery notes as applicable.
  • Remove from stock, products or loads not meeting quality standards, and notify warehouse officers/depot officers or appropriate departments of discrepancies observed.
  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Various other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND in Social Sciences and related courses
  • Good Knowledge of Housekeeping
  • Proficient in Microsoft Tools
  • Good Communication skills
  • Good Interpersonal relationship skills.

Job Title: Warehouse Specialist

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • The Warehouse Specialist reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for management and reconciliation of inventory/stock through adhering to processes and policies and also responsible for stock taking.
  • The role holder ensures good manufacturing practices, stocks are properly arranged, production reconciliation, sampling treatment and receipt of products from depots and other locations.

Other key responsibilities of the role include:

  • To coordinate loading and offloading of trucks, track and manage 3PL forklift downtime and utilization.
  • To ensure pallets availability. Issue empties to manufacturing and receive finished goods from production with minimal operational loss.
  • Resources optimization- to ensure proper utilization of resources, machines, to meet company’s objective. Implementation of strategy for managing losses associated with FEFO and general stock arrangement
  • Development and implementation of Warehouse processes
  • Execution of warehouse ZIHP(in-house processing) tasks in the physical and on the ERP.
  • To manage and reconcile inventory through proper issuance and receipt of stock.
  • To ensure proper stock arrangement and accurate stock count paying particular attention to stock count pre-requisites. Ensures stock is stored in appropriate storage condition.
  • To ensure DSD and haulage trucks are properly loaded to achieve daily sales. Production reconciliation, sampling treatment and receipts from depots and other locations.
  • Delivery of agreed Warehouse KBIs & BP commitments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • BSc degree / HND.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written communication)
  • 1-2 years of field experience
  • MS Office, MS Excel – Intermediate, MS Word and Power Point – Intermediate.
