Job Title: Procurement / Material Coordinator

Job Description

  • Responsible for supervising the contractors’ material procurement team to ensure that all materials and equipment required for timely completion of the project are delivered to site ahead of the requirement date.
  • Liaise with parties responsible for material inspection to ensure prompt inspection of all materials to avoid delays to project execution.
  • Develop a tracker for all essential materials and equipment with high potential to delay project delivery, liaise with project planners and construction team to understand requirement dates and monitor procurement progress with contractors’ procurement team. Escalate to project management team timely where unavailability of critical materials have potential to delay project progress.
  • Follow-up to ensure two year recommended spares are received for relevant equipment in line with the contract.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian Content requirements in procurement of all materials to be used on the project.
  • Responsible for liaising with the EPCC contractor and planning ahead to ensure smooth logistics in the delivery of materials to the Island.
  • Liaise with the Marine terminal operations team to confirm arrival time of contractor barges and ensure availability of MOF jetty for offloading including monitoring opportunistic windows for use of the MOF jetty.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years post-graduation experience, out of which 5 years should have been spent as a Material or Logistics Coordinator on major construction projects of not less than US$50m.

Job Title: Project Planner

Job Description

  • Provide Planning Services on a major construction project and liaise with EPCC contractor’s team to undertake activities such as scheduling, schedule control, reporting analysis, forecasting and schedule optimization.
  • Review and evaluate the Contractor’s detailed level 4/5 schedules, plans, performance and procedures and integrate with overall client schedule.
  • Support in the development of the baseline contract schedule, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. Baseline schedule should be properly resource loaded, fully logic linked and have a critical path.
  • Continuously provide guidance to the project leadership team on schedule performance, highlighting timely, early warning signals on threats to achieving schedule milestone targets.
  • Develop Progress Measurement philosophy to be deployed on the project and review/endorse progress measurements reported periodically by the contractors planning team and report progress to Owners project management team. Analyse / prepare project progress positions and forecast project completions.
  • Supervise contractors planning team to carry out resource loading/leveling, preparing S-Curves, Manpower histograms etc
  • Interact with construction supervisors on day-to-day activities on site/office by providing relevant information such as 2 weeks look ahead schedules for Project management team.
  • Support the Project Manager/Engineer and construction team to analyse and evaluate the impact of various construction methods and techniques on overall project schedule.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc degree in Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years post-graduation experience, out of which 5 years should have been spent in a project planning position on major construction projects of not less than US$50m.
  • Extensive skills in the use of Primavera P6 planning tool is mandatory.
  • Should have very good understanding of construction processes and techniques.

Job Title: Cost Controller / Quantity Surveyor

  • Responsible for the monitoring and control of costs, including preparing regular cost reports against cost plan to ensure top quartile cost performance on the project.

  • Contribute to projects change management process by analyzing trends and potential change impact on project cost, assessing and evaluating valuation of variations (change orders) with contractors and advise Project Engineer appropriately to achieve proper project cost control and value for money.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of schedules for valuation of work done on projects including ensuring timely preparation of valuations and variation accounts (for change orders) to achieve effective contract management and facilitate efficient payment practices on projects.
  • Compute and advise value of work done before the end of each month and provide evidence as required for booking of accruals for timely recognition of VOWD.
  • Assess the cost impact of any proposed variation and advise on the impact of such variations on the EPC Contract sum
  • Preparation of project cost reports and cash flow forecasts

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc degree in Engineering discipline.

Job Title: Document Controller

Description

  • Ensure strict compliance with document-coding structure, document control system and communication flow for the project. Ensure effective transfer of documents between the Project Management Team and EPCC Contractors.
  • Liaise with the EPC contractor to ensure that document control requirements / procedures are understood and consistently applied.
  • Receive, catalogue and store electronic copies of all technical drawings, reports and related information in an orderly manner, in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Work with precision to ensure electronic and hard copy filing is accurate and is easily retrievable.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests to retrieve information, information searches and general requests for support from project/department personnel.
  • Accurately update project information as required.
  • Undertake all matters of document control for the project/construction team.

Job Title: HSE Officer

  • Ensure all incidents including near misses are properly reported, evaluated and investigated in line with established processes.
  • Control and monitor site waste and maintain quality and environmental control procedures. Support EMP implementation and compliance monitoring at the project site
  • Conduct assessments on type of personal protective equipment (PPE) to be utilized for specific tasks and ensure correct application of PPEs on project site at all times.
  • Provide daily/weekly input of HSE statistics and data to HSE Coordinator
  • Support in the execution of Emergency Response drills per plan. Track actions to closure and provide feedback to support review of the Emergency Response plan.
  • Establish a system for effectively conducting safety inductions for workers and provide frequent safety training’s to all site workers and general construction team

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Engineering.

Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Officer

  • Monitor the implementation of project quality management systems and project quality delivery plan (overall integration of all project quality related processes (i.e. technical quality assurance, construction quality, ITPs, inspection, quality incident reporting & alerts, etc.) on the project.

Job Title: Project Manager

  • Implement an effective risk management process to ensure project risks are identified timely, documented and tracked appropriately in the project risk register and effectively mitigated to avoid impact on desired project outcomes.
  • Hold daily/weekly progress meetings with the site team, EPC contractors and report to the client on progress of works against plan highlighting any threats to realization of project objectives.
  • Responsible for monitoring the overall progress of the project against contractual baseline schedule, providing reporting on same to the client, highlighting any potential for slippage and propose remedial actions to bring the project back on track.
  • Bring sound knowledge of construction techniques to bear in solving technical problems which may threaten achievement of desired project outcomes. Work closely with Owners team and EPCC contractor’s team to continuously develop and deploy innovative techniques to deliver project deliverable faster, safer within budget and without jeopardizing quality.
  • Ensure quality is maintained to the highest standard on the project by driving the implementation of top quartile quality management systems on the project.
  • Manage delivery of project scope within approved EPC contract value.
  • Ensure timely response to all queries and/or letters from the contractor after clearing appropriately with relevant internal parties.
  • Ensure that the commercial and contractual position of the client is protected at all times

Job Requirement

  • B.Sc. degree in an Engineering discipline. Possession of a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 20 years post-graduation experience, out of which a minimum of 10 years should have been spent as a Project Manager, Construction Project Manager or Project Leader in a Tier 1 construction company or in a major International Oil and Gas company.
  • Should have successfully managed the delivery of at least 2 projects with headline size of $50 million – $100 million.
  • Should possess advanced knowledge of building methods and construction techniques.
  • Should have proven records of consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines for projects managed.
