Job Title: Digital Marketer (Social Media Marketing)

Location: Lagos
Reporting to: Marketing Manager

Job Description

  • The marketing manager is in charge of planning and managing marketing campaigns that promote a company’s brand, products, and services. Their duties include planning campaigns, analyzing metrics, and identifying trends. They typically have solid experience in art direction and social media.
  • A digital marketing officer is responsible for developing, implementing and managing marketing campaigns that promote a company and its products and/or services. He or she plays a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads/customers.
  • Digital marketers are in charge of driving brand awareness and lead sales and customer generation through all the digital channels — both free and paid — that are at a company’s disposal.

Duties

  • Edit and post content, videos, podcasts, and audio content on online sites
  • Promote company’s product and services in the digital space
  • Execute social media efforts to improve KPIs, likes, shares, tweets, etc.
  • Creating and executing SMS, and email-based marketing campaigns
  • Develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns that promote the products and services of a company
  • Enhance brand awareness in the digital space
  • Drive website traffic and acquire leads
  • Measure site traffic, identify and evaluate new digital technologies and optimize marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media, and display & search advertising using web analytics tools
  • Conduct on-site and off-site analysis of clients in various industries
  • Compile performances report using Google Analytics program
  • Managing the redesign of the company website
  • Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website
  • Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing
  • Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns
  • Manage organization’s website
  • Optimize content for the website and social networking channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, etc
  • Keep attention to the updates of Google’s Algorithm
  • Contribute to the company’s blog for on-page and off-page optimization
  • Conduct keyword research according to the latest keyword research strategies
  • Build social media marketing strategy and execute it through competitive and audience research
  • Achieve audience engagement, website traffic, and revenue by exploiting all digital marketing aspects of social media marketing roadmap.
  • Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company’s website
  • Tracking conversion rates and making improvements to the website
  • Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns
  • Utilizing a range of techniques to generate sales leads
  • Overseeing the social media strategy for the company
  • Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness.
  • Track the website traffic flow and provide internal reports regularly
  • Fix any error in online content and arrange webinars and webcasts
  • Attend networking events and product launches
  • Identify new digital marketing trends and ensure that the brand is in front of the industry developments
  • Work on SEO of the website pages

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience managing a comprehensive content calendar for several teams/groups
  • Strong ability to be collaborative and team-minded
  • Ability to clearly articulate priorities while incorporating data and learning into the decision-making process
  • Ability to react to changing priorities based on sales trends and pivot quickly and effectively
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute while also driving strategic planning and seeing the broader team vision
  • Must have extensive computer skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, thoughtful and thorough preparation of documents and communications
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with teams in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • A minimum of 5years+ of relevant experience in digital marketing preferred (social media marketing related)
  • A degree from a recognized/ accredited university
  • Proven track record of success in digital marketing role required especially with social media marketing (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Experience in executing cohesive cross-channel content marketing campaigns & digital marketing skills strongly preferred
  • Passionate about impactful email and digital marketing content
  • Great customer service skills to increase users’ interactions
