We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Specialist / Marketer to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist/Marketer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media/Marketing strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will be working closely with the Marketing and Sales departments.

 

Requirements

  • B.Sc degree / HND in Marketing or relevant field
  • At least 3 years experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Previous experience in marketing furniture or interior products is an added advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements and market research methods
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer personal research
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy using social media for brand awareness and impression
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer
  • Attend educational conferences
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
  • Schedules appointments and meetings as necessary
  • Answers questions from clients
  • Finds ways to sell products in the face of a down market
  • Researches client base to find new types of customers and sells to them accordingly
  • Creates a plan for gaining customers and then retaining them
  • Analyzes and creates a plan for engaging the target market
  • Analyzes the competition to create a plan for engagement
  • Makes product appeal to the target market
