Job Title: Store Keeper

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Our client is recruiting a Store Keeper who will manage all operations in the company’s storeroom
  • He or she will play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of a perpetual inventory of forms, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining office supplies, and various types of equipment
  • The preferred candidate should have basic knowledge of accounting principles with an eye for details.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and train store staff
  • Plan promotional campaigns for new products or specials
  • Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized
  • Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
  • Receive, unload, and shelve supplies
  • Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report findings to the accounts department for reimbursements and record keeping
  • Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
  • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
  • Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs.

Requirements

  • A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Store Management or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years prior experience in retail or store management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Our client is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the company’s daily warehousing activities
  • He or she will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits
  • The preferred candidate will be generally responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items; whilst also securing the warehouse and supervising his or her team members.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ performance
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
  • Ensure shipments and inventory transaction are accurate
  • Communicate job expectations to team members and coach employees
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload
  • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative work procedures and practices
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.

Requirements

  • A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 10+ years cognate experience in a warehouse supervisory role
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Forklift Operation Certification in needed
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Knowledge and experience with methods for process re-engineering.
