Through local, national and global partnerships, IPAS works to ensure women can obtain safe, respectful and comprehensive abortion care; including counseling and contraception to prevent unintended pregnancies.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Health Systems Intern

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to HS unit initiatives including logistical support for meetings, training workshops and facility support supervision etc.
  • Assist with HS unit activities reports including specific documentation/report for entry into the database
  • Contribute to the development of strategies and projects to improve the Health Systems relationship and partners’ ability to provide quality Comprehensive abortion care post Abortion care and related services to women and girls.
  • Contribute to the production of training materials including powerpoint slides and data capturing tools.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned

Minimum Requirments

  • An entry-level professional with a degree in Public Health, Nursing, Demography or related fields with a demonstrated interest in healthcare and/or public health.
  • Excellent verbal and interactive communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Creative writing skills.

Job Title: Research & Evaluation Intern

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

  • Assist with management and coordination of data entry consultants and data collectors
  • Support R&E Training and dissemination activities
  • Assist with Data management, audit, analysis and report writing
  • Assist with implementation of research and evaluation activities
  • Contribute to Desk/Literature review
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • An entry-level professional with appreciable experience in research, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Has a degree in Demography, Biostatistics, Epidemiology Public Health, Statistics, or related fields
  • Good knowledge of data management and statistical software such as Epi Data, CSPro, ODK, SPSS, Stata, etc. will be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and interactive communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Creative writing skills

Job Title: Community Access Intern

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

  • Provide both technical and administrative support to Community Access unit, this include but not limited to providing, logistical support for internal and external activities and meetings.
  • Contribute to the adaption of training materials, IEC materials, and workshop presentation as well.
  • Contribute in tracking and analysis of community access results and summary for sharing across units.
  • Contribute to conducting peer review and compilation of success stories for proper documentation of activates.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies at the community level to support women’s ability to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights.
  • Collate and harmonize community access reports upload to database
  • Support in developing of program implementation plan including budget.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned

Minimum Requirments

  • An entry level professional with a degree in social sciences and an understanding of gender and women development issues.
  • Understanding of basic social media and digital marketing skills will be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and interactive communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

Job Title: Policy Intern

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

  • Provide both technical and administrative support to the Policy unit’s
  • Contribute to the production of factsheets and other IEC materials as well as workshop presentations.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies and projects to improve the enabling environment in support of women’s ability to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights.
  • Prepare Policy unit activities reports including specific reports for database.
  • Support the unit’s advocacy and mobilization efforts including strengthening local networks with partners and supports awareness campaigns at the national and local level in the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned

Minimum requirements

  • An entry level professional with a degree in Law, Social Sciences or related fields with demonstrated interest in human rights
  • Has knowledge and understanding of Nigeria’s policy environment
  • Excellent verbal and interactive communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Creative writing skills

Job Title: Office of the Country Director Intern

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

  • Provide both technical and administrative support to the Country Director including providing logistical support for internal and external meetings and conferences.
  • Prepare draft slides for Country Directors’ presentations at meetings and conferences.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies and projects in support of Ipas mission and vision as directed by the Country Director.
  • Proper maintenance and filling of documents/books.
  • Conduct research and document
  • Assist with Organizing the Country Director’s schedule.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • An entry-level professional with a degree in Business Administration or related fields with a demonstrated interest in office management and coordination
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and deadline-driven
  • Excellent verbal and interactive communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Creative writing skills.
