Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Nutri K is now looking for Maintenance Engineer for its Maintenance department to carry out its activities in Kano.

Overal Mission
General objective:

  • The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to help improve safety and overall equipment effectiveness by anticipating andeliminating potential delays through the maintenance, installation, and control of all mechanical equipment and systems onsit

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Responsible for executing daily Preventive Maintenance and Inspection tasks.
  • Responsible for executing assigned corrective work orders related to the priority of the business.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment incompliance with standard work, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Contributing to improved designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain records of preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance on production.
  • Ability to schedule and balance priorities; and possess strong adherence to deadlines while in constant communication with area leader.
  • Drives Lean activity to ensure department is consistently driving towards being lowest cost provider by eliminating non value added activities.
  • Managing spare part stocks and maintain the good level of spare parts.

Requirements and Requiered Skills

  • Education degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
  • Work experience; 3 years’ experience in relevant field, previous experience in a supervisory capacity and food industry plant experience is a plus
  • Language skills – English & Hausa
  • Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook

Job Title: Logistics & Supply Chain Officer

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Overal Mission
General objective:

  • Specialist is responsible for the storage, distribution, inventory management and records maintenance of items in a logistics and supply is an important component of supply-chain management, which emphasizes the receipt and proper storage of property.

Responsabilities and Tasks

  • Assesses and organizes logistics in terms of transport requirements, receipt, handling, storage and distribution of items and establishes proper warehousing and recording systems
  • Place international procurement orders and follow up delivery schedule
  • Prepare for receipt of international shipments, and liaises with clearance agents
  • Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary
  • Follow up purchase contracts
  • Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
  • Implement training plan
  • Supervise local purchases
  • Maintain petty cash organize payments upon approval
  • Supervise warehousing and inventory
  • Maintain records according to a filing system
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements and Requiered Skills

  • Education degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field required
  • Work experience: 3 years’ experience in supply chain, Experience with ERP programs and Ability to lead, train and mentor employees.
