Secure Anchorage Area West Africa (SAA)  – Ocean Marine Solutions (OMS) is an accredited and highly respected private maritime security solutions provider in Nigeria. Operating from key strategic locations in Port Harcourt, Warri and Lagos, Ocean Marine Solutions provides vital static asset protection to the Oil and Gas industry and much needed escort services for commercial vessels transiting through and operating in Nigerian Water and Gulf of Guinea.

Ocean Marine Solutions established the Secure Anchorage Area (SAA) off the coast of Lagos, Nigeria in May 2013 for vessels that require a dedicated and compliant maritime security solution. The SAA is protected by multiple armed Patrol Boats (PBs), which enforce a Maritime Exclusion Zone (MEZ) around the anchored vessels to deter and interdict with potential threats.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Reports to: Assistant Manager, Supply Chain

Job Role

  • Mode of sourcing Internal – OMS/SAA/Gyro/PPFM and External
  • Core mission of the role To provide support in various procurement and supply chain operations; manage efficient document control; coordinate timely processing of all requisitions and orders while ensuring a customer-centric attitude with internal and external clients.

  • Significant internal liaison – All end-users, Accounts / Finance, Warehouse etc.
  • Highly customer-centric and service-oriented work environment.
  • Increasing focus on Corporate Performance

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Invite, assess and award / recommend supplier bids, quotation and proposals
  • Sourcing, Sorting, Pre-qualification and Evaluation of vendors quotations for pricing / quality and vendors reliability for timely delivery and repeat purchase
  • Responsible for managing vendors / supplier performance in terms of product / services quality, costs, delivery and responsiveness through periodic reviews of suppliers and improvement performance
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for goods receipt, delivery note, invoices etc. are in place for payment consideration by finance
  • Develop and maintain cost data bank for all procurement transactions
  • Populate and maintain accurate updated records of purchases/ services rendered, cost etc.
  • Prompt issuance of purchase order in line with bid analysis results, follow up on issued purchase order for conformity with the Purchase order specification and prompt delivery
  • Responsible for retention and relationship management of vendors/suppliers through opening credit lines, post-paid purchases etc.
  • Continuous update of vendors data base for improved supply chain performance
  • Any other task requested to ensure OMS remains the industry leader

Educational Qualifications, Certifications and Experience
Education:

  • Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting and any other relevant degree.

Experience:

  • 3-6 years relevant work experience in a related field
  • Professional Procurement Certification / Membership
  • Demonstrate evidence of knowledge (Brag file).
