Job Descriotion

  • Check and purchase groceries and household supplies to maintain adequate levels
  • Maintain record of related expenditure
  • Polish silverware
  • Clean appliances
  • Run errands for employer
  • Answer telephone and take messages
  • Dust and polish furniture and fittings
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings
  • Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
  • Wipe down glass surfaces
  • Make up beds and change linens as required
  • Tidy up rooms
  • Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
  • Water household plants and flower arranging
  • Carry out weekly grocery shopping

Job Title: Female House-Keeper

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Responsibilities include:

  • Deep, thorough cleaning and organizing the house from top to bottom
  • Vacuum surfaces and disinfect sanitary areas
  • Dust fine furnishings and delicate exteriors
  • Vacuum, wax and polish marble and hardwood floors
  • Special care for exotic hardwood and tile surfaces, porcelain sinks and bathtubs
  • Delicate touch required when cleaning antique and modern furnishings
  • Excellent knowledge in care and upkeep of fine linens, luxurious drapes and upholstery
  • Clean and polish hand-crafted chandeliers, lanterns and mirrors
  • Polish silver and hand-wash stemware and fine china
  • Dust and polish elegant marble fireplaces, crown moldings and bronze staircases
  • Superior laundry skills (hand-wash, steam, press using mangle)
  • Kitchen maintenance including granite countertops, copper sinks, marble floors and kitchen cabinets
  • Proper knowledge in cleaning and maintenance of high-end European appliances (washer, dryer, oven, refrigerator, TV, etc.)
  • Organize linen cabinets according to the number of bedrooms
  • Assist with all aspects of pet care – including, feeding, daily walks, grooming and vet appointments
  • Occasionally work nights or weekends to maintain the home and provide assistance with the pets when the Principals are traveling

Educational Qualification

Core Responsibilities

  • The executive pastry chef oversees the production of pastries, sweets, breads, ice creams, toppings and fillings. He or she is the expert of creation, execution, and presentation of pastries and desserts.
  • Look into the production of baked goods
  • Decorating the pastries and desserts and making them attractive
  • Keeping the kitchen organized
  • Preparing the budgets according to the supplies and sales
  • Maintaining the inventory and cost control by planning menus with quality ingredients within the budgetary restrictions
  • Ensuring proper discipline in the kitchen
  • Preparing pastries and desserts for client demonstration.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the consistent preparation of innovative and creative cuisine of the highest quality, presentation and flavour for the dining rooms, banquets and other food facilities, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction.
  • Additionally, responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and manage areas of profit, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training within the kitchen.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  • Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
  • Estimate food requirements and food/labour costs
  • Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints
  • Give prepared plates the “final touch”
  • Perform administrative duties

Requirements

Job Responsibilities
Household duties will work alongside the mother and will perform duties such as:

  • Bathing
  • Preparing and overseeing healthy meals and eating habits
  • Assistance with educational needs of the children
  • Laundry and wardrobe maintenance, organizing closets
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of children’s rooms and toys
  • Light tidying up / cleaning duties
  • Engage in family shopping, or loading and unloading the family washing

Educational Qualification

  • BSc. Degree in Psychology, Child Development, Education or relevant field of study

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a School Matron or similar working experience.
