Job Title: Head, Credit & Marketing

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom State

Employment Type: full-time

Job Description

  • Oversee the articulation and execution of the Bank’s marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategy, goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance, leadership support and direction to the Marketing team.
  • Build the Bank’s profile and brand image in the market through sustained campaigns.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with key customers in relevant market segments.
  • Lead the Bank’s deposit mobilization efforts and ensure quality risks assets are created.
  • Coordinate the deployment of effective market penetration and market share acquisition frameworks.
  • Oversee the collation of market business intelligence to support effective decision-making.
  • Champion the development and establishment of the effective channel strategies to support the Bank’s marketing efforts.
  • Champion periodic planning and budget review sessions, monitor implementation and performance and ensure development of effective strategies to address shortfall in targets.
  • Champion the drive to increase the Bank’s market share by promoting and institutionalizing a customer service-oriented culture.
  • Monitor changing market dynamics and adapt product offering to effectively meet these needs.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the MD/ CEO or Branch Manager.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess minimum of B.Sc/HND in Marketing or any related field, relevant professional certification will be an advantage
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience; 5 of which must be on the job role.

Competency and Skill Requirements:

  • Must have undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of Microfinance Banking.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of marketing principles – advertising, brand management, market/ sector targeting, product development etc.
  • Good understanding of micro and macro-economic indices and their impact on small businesses.
  • Strong people management, mentoring, and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Very good presentation and facilitation skills.

Job Title: Head, Operations

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom State

Job Description

  • Responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of the branches, team development, team morale and implementation of micro-finance code of conduct at the various levels in operations.
  • Develop strategies to minimize customer complaints and suggest ways of managing the public image of the Company.
  • Liaise with the Financial Controller to ensure timely preparations of annual budget, quarterly budget review, forecasts and business plans.
  • Develop business relationship with potential customers as well as existing customers with the view to strengthening the Company’s customer relationship base.
  • Analyze the business environment and make recommendations on the development of new products and enhance existing products to grow the Company’s customer base and outreach
  • Provide advice on all operation issue to the report person.
  • Appraise the operational system in place and monitor the implementation of the Company’s operation manuals, making appropriate recommendation regarding the need for change.
  • Responsible for delivering budget results of all Branches.
  • Co-ordinate the activities of all branches and handle all operation issue including computerization, change management and balancing of books.
  • Visit branches regularly to ensure operations are running smoothly.
  • Provide on the job training to all department staff, including new recruits and existing staff.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned from time to meet the objectives of the Company.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in numerate or semi-numerate disciplines. Relevant professional certification will be an advantage

Job Title: Head, Internal Audit

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom State

Employment Type: full-time

Job Description:

  • Ensure compliance on monthly report rendition to regulatory bodies
  • Ensure daily compliance to the bank rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Reconciliation of correspondent bank accounts to ensure transactions are not outstanding .
  • Review of the statutory returns to regulatory authorities and government agencies to ensure accuracy and timely rendition monthly.
  • Customers’ visitation for random deposit verification weekly
  • Review the accuracy and reliability of financial transaction records – cash deposits, cash withdrawals, treasury bills investments, fixed deposits, and funds transfer daily.
  • Engage in loan recovery and reconcile customers’ loan accounts for closure when need arises.
  • Involve in the thorough review of the bank’s accounting software for efficiency daily.
  • Review credit or loan files for compliance daily.
  • Review accounting records to ensure proper and compliance with company’s extant policies daily.
  • Review and recommend changes to some of the company’s policies to ensure adequate control daily.
  • Conduct cash-counts of vaults daily.
  • Reviewed customers’ account opening documents for compliance with Know Your Customer (“KYC”) policy and anti-money laundering requirements daily.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank’s policies and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly General Ledger (GL) review for reconciliation.
  • Handle customer complaints (Fraud, disservice, etc) if and when they occur.
  • Review expenses and payments daily
  • Conduct sweep exercise and spot check on tellers and account officers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in numerate or semi-numerate disciplines. Relevant professional certification will be an advantage
  • 8 years of professional experience and 3 years of full-time experience in internal auditing.

Competency and Skill Requirements:

  • Experience in Microfinance operations, or Banking or auditing in a supervising capacity.
  • Deep knowledge of internal control and compliance management.
  • Knowledge of the microfinance environment, regulations, and laws.
  • Familiarity with the common indicators of fraud.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of the dynamics of small businesses
  • Mathematics, business acumen and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications Excel /Microsoft Office
  • Highly attentive to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills

Job Title: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom State

Main Responsibility

The Managing Director shall be responsible for giving strategic guidance and direction to the board to ensure that the Company achieves its financial vision, mission and long-term goals.

Job Description

  • Setting the overall strategic direction of the company alongside the board.
  • Plans and implements the long-term business strategy of the bank to achieve its overall objectives.
  • Setting company-wide KPI’s to gauge company performance in all areas.
  • Prepare a corporate plan and annual business plan and monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Maintaining a dialogue between shareholders and the Board.
  • Develop and maintain an effective marketing and public relations strategy to promote the products, services and image of the bank in the wider community.
  • Devising a 5-year plan and working with other board members to oversee its implementation.
  • Working closely with the Sales team on sales strategy and approach to winning new business.
  • Carrying out regular business analysis to engage industry and market changes.
  • Setting of budgets and forecasts alongside the finance department.
  • Reporting results to the Board on a quarterly and annual basis.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Social Sciences or any other related field. Professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Must have undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Competency and Skill Requirements:

  • 12+ years of work experience in financial services.
  • A proven record of success in senior management level, preferably in the microfinance banking industry.
  • A wide knowledge of the microfinance banking industry.
  • An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
