Job Title: Director of Advertising

Reference No.: DA – 1
Location: Nigeria

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the advertising department, driving a high- performance, customer-centric, and results-based culture.
  • Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual sales quotas around which advertising strategies and solutions are built within the advertising department and ensure that advertising goals are met within the timelines.
  • Map out advertising strategies that support sales plans, attract and retain new consumers, and encourage the spending rate of the business current consumers.
  • Communicate quotas and commissions that will ensure the success of advertising efforts and initiatives,
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales departments in order to ensure effective sales prospecting and alignment of marketing approaches to minimize conflicts of interest and to enable a unified front in reaching for overall business goals.
  • Work with the human resources department to source and retain quality personnel in order to guarantee smooth execution of advertising initiatives.
  • Gather ideas and feedback from the field leading to the formulation of more effective advertisement strategies and solutions.
  • Explore business data insights through relevant publications, seminars and events in order to continuously keep abreast of current industry best practices that will facilitate keeping the business ahead of its competition.
  • Drive strategic product decisions through the evaluation of market-trends and prospective analysis of the business’s products and revenue performance.
  • Perform other duties as may be directed by the company management.

Educational Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, sales, marketing, or any other relevant field.
  • Postgraduate/Master’s Degree and additional qualifications in marketing, sales and allied fields from reputable institutions will be an added advantage.

Requirements & Skills:

  • A minimum of 20 years working experience with 7 to 10 years in a senior management position, preferably working as a Head of Advertising Sales Head of Advertising Operations, Head of Advertising Technology or as a Director of Advertising in a flagship/reputable multi-national company.
  • The ideal candidate will have vast experience working with modern advertising tools, platforms, and technologies.
  • The candidate will also have had proven and successful experience managing an advertising team from the conceptualization of a campaign to the successful achievement of its objectives.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Communication of instructions and directives must be crystal clear down the line in order to ensure efficient performance of the advertising teams and hence the entire advertising department.
  • Strategic thinking, high creativity and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (essentially Ms Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • The ideal candidate will be between 45 and 60 years of age.

Job Title: Director of Public Relations

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the public relations team, driving the development, implementation, and integration of strategic communications plans that advance the business’s brand identity in the market. Broaden the awareness of these strategies and increase visibility of PR programs and priorities within the organization and to key stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with the marketing team, create marketing strategies in order to enable the cultivation and enhancement of strong and strategic relationships with the target audiences, external partners, and key media outlets.
  • Research and proactively identify emerging or potential issues and challenges that may impact on the business or product, further partnering with management teams throughout the business for the purpose of formulation and execution of strategies, solutions and opportunities pertinent to those issues.
  • Oversee the creation of the business content; for example; newsletters, blogs, social media influencers annual reports, and other marketing collateral materials, overseeing all online web content and communications as well as social media interactions.
  • Act as the business/product’s spokesperson and lead point person in conventional media interactions, such as newspaper interviews, ensuring a positive portrayal of the business at all times.
  • Exercise judgment in prioritizing media opportunities, making necessary coordination with appropriate persons in organizing and preparing presentations, speeches, talking points, and other external media relations materials
  • Cultivate and manage press relationships that ensure the coverage of the business’s/product’s programs, events, public announcements, among other projects.
  • Provide marketing counsel to publication unit in order to ensure positive impact of each publication on the business,
  • Work with the human resources department to source arid retain quality personnel in order to guarantee smooth execution of advertising initiatives.

Educational Qualifications

  • A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, Journalism, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications, English Language or in any other relevant field.
  • Postgraduate/Master’s Degree and additional qualifications in Public Relations and allied fields will be an added advantage.

Requirements & Skills:

  • A minimum of 15 years working experience with 7 to 10 years of experience working in a high ranking PR position (for example, as a Senior PR Manager), a proven and successful record in the management of PR teams.
  • Must have a proven and successful track record in garnering positive media coverage for a business or product in a complex business setting/market.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills. Must possess the ability to communicated complex and technical messages in simple terms that different audiences can relate to.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (essentially Ms Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Superior analytical and creative skills that will enable him to develop enterprise-level PR and communication strategies.
  • The ideal candidate will be between 40 and 55 years of age.

Job Title: Director of Promotions

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional and cross-channel teams to develop integrated launch programs, product-related communications, or marketing promotions from conceptualization through launch and successful implementation.
  • Initiate, Implement and Execute successful corporate! sales promotional strategies to support business objective.
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships with relevant parties to ensure consistency of communication messages and fidelity with set brand objectives.
  • Establish and maintain flawless relationship with stakeholders – media organisations, advertising / Creative agencies, production firms, branding suppliers and regulatory bodies
  • Monitor the domestic and global marketplace for new product innovations, competitive activities and emerging trends.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge and communicate competitive promotional activities and innovation to both internal and client teams, providing reports and analyses.

Educational Qualifications

  • A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, Journalism, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications, English Studies or in any other relevant field.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication, Economics or any other relevant discipline.
  • An MBA or Masters Degree in Mass Communication or Communications Arts would be an added advantage.
  • Professional certification and membership of professional bodies are a Must.
  • Minimum of 20 years progressive operational and managerial experience in developing communications / promotional strategies in reputable Advertising Agencies / Integrated Marketing Communications / FMCG outfits with at least 5 years at Senior Managerial level.
  • Excellent knowledge of Products Promotion, Advertising, Sponsorship, Public Relations, Media Relations and Special Projects.
  • Must have proven track record delivering superior results and assuming leadership roles,

Job Title: Branding and Merchandising Director

Responsibilities

  • Utilize exceptional knowledge of branding, OOH communications, Channels strategy and management to optimize brand visibility at every touch points
  • Lead the Merchandising and Branding team to develop, maintain and sustain unmatched, effective and efficient visibility in the industry
  • Demonstrate strong people, problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Evaluate and maintain effective category groupings, sequencing, site search filtering and categorization strategies that facilitate efficient search, reinforce a positive brand experience and support effective visual merchandising
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of market and product trends, opportunities and the competitive landscape
  • Strong experience in measuring results, reporting, and effectively assessing KPl’s to drive result

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
